Blue Motor Finance Complaints Departmeht

I wasn’t going to leave a review of Blue Motor Finance but as they sent me an email asking for feedback to improve their service here goes…. Please do not purchase a vehicle using this company if you value your time and want to keep your stress levels down. Purchasing a vehicle which subsequently has multiple faults is difficult enough but the lack of consideration and courtesy shown by the Blue Motor Finance complaints department makes the situation even worse. In my experience, phone calls and emails are not replied to. I have had multiple times where I’ve been promised phone calls at a certain time and they haven’t happened. When you ask to speak to a manager in the complaints department, they are never available. They clearly do not have enough staff to manage the number of complaints they receive as each phone call I’ve made has taken an average of 45 minutes to an hour on hold before getting to talk to anyone. However, phone calls to the main customer service or collections departments are answered much more speedily. Blue Motor Finance will tell you that they will arrange a “full inspection” of your vehicle, this is not the case. The inspection you receive is an inspection of the reported fault NOT a full inspection of your vehicle. This is at best misleading and at worst a lie. Even when it is clear that you are unhappy, they will close your case and send a generic email stating that your case has been closed. The email also asks for feedback. This again demonstrates their complete lack of understanding. I have taken my issues with Blue Motor Finance to the financial ombudsman. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2024

If you are a retailer then this conpany is for you id you are a customer then they will do nothing to help even when you state goods were not fit for purpose they no way could lay any blame with there retailer and revoked tour rights to return the goods as unfit for purpose if you do you not only lose what ever payments you have made but would also incur further charges luckly i have paid of the outstanding amout and i have been informed that it will take a full day for this payment to clear when infact it is in their account within 2hrs if you are offered finance via this conpany i advise you check your rights as as far as i was cocerned iwas advised pay up or shut up Reviewed on: 10th May 2023

Good service but.....

Ok, firstly, I should say that as with all car finance companies the interest rate you're going to be charged is higher than if you took out a personal loan - however the service received from Blue Motor Finance was good - albeit with a few areas that they need to improve on. My only issue is that if you want to make an overpayment to reduce the term or amount on agreement is a faff. You have to email or call them, they then send you a email with a PDF attached with a "quote" for overpayment and sometimes they ask for "proof of funds" requiring you to send in a bank statement??? Really?... which to me seems daft especially when overpayments are made by BACS transfer only. You either have the funds or you don't. I suspect this is most likely to stop money laundering however considering they credit checks that are needed in the first place to take out a finance agreement, it does seem to be a barrier to anyone wanting to make an overpayment and is just a pain. At present there is no system in place to setup a regular "standing order" for overpayments and this whole set of nonsense has to be gone through every single time. Painfully backwards.
