Current account for 57 years

I have had current accounts with this Bank for 57 years with no problems and free banking. Can't say much more than that. Reviewed on: 17th March 2017

Absolutely fantastic

Since joining the Co-operative (which in itself was far easier than any other bank I tried), I have not experienced a single negative thing. I am not constantly bombarded with unnecessary emails/texts/calls/post. Very easy to contact and speak with when needed, and the improved on-line banking is so simple to use. Overall, for my needs this is the best bank to use 10/10. Reviewed on: 13th February 2017

Fairly good service so far- good switching bonus

Their initial customer service was dire, switching took over a month because of their ineptitude and incompetence. But that aside, their day to day handling of my account has been fine. I switched for the bonus and because my previous bank were poor, I regretted switching at first, but now I am happy with their service Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Changing old account and opening a new one.

Opened a current account with them after having a really old account with Bristol & west. I was taken into a private office so felt my private details wernt heard by everyone else. The lady I dealt with was really friendly and explained everything in a clear manner. My second visit was to set my security up on my account were I seen a different member of staff. As before they were very friendly and professional. I was very pleases with the overlay experience and came away with an account I'm happy with. Would highly recommend them. Could do better

We chose the co-operative bank over 15 years ago because of their ethical investment policies. We were impressed by the thought of a bank actually having an ethical policy! We still are happy that they do but simply wish they they would apply their same sense pf ethics to their every day dealing with their customers. The charges for the everyday banking is surprising. They are currently undergoing maintenance and are therefore unavailable online for anything other than emergencies. They prepared their customers for this, but in this day and age, it is still unacceptable. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

A decent ethical bank

I enjoy banking with the Coop although they could do a little more to encourage customers to stay, especially with so many switching rewards. I like the linked savings and always find staff to be helpful and friendly. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Great for students accounts moving to current accounts

They have the best package for student accounts. That I have come across and they do not even advertise it. They are patient enough to give you a year to pay any interest free overdraft back while they change your account to a current. Plus are very understanding in-terms of, if you have any money issues they will just freeze/hold everything until things are okay again. Reviewed on: 11th February 2017

Excellent customer service, not the best online facilities but gradually improving.

I have been with the CO-OP Bank for a number of years and have found them extremely helpful, very professional and a good company to bank with. They have been very understanding regarding overdraft fee's and other bank charges, unlike a number of other banks. Despite the brilliant customer service, the online banking is not the best but improving gradually. Some services can also take a while compared to other banks, for example a cheque takes longer to clear with the CO OP than it does with most other banks. Overall I would give The Co Op four stars because of their excellent customer service, but improvements must be made to the online banking & processing speed. Reviewed on: 10th February 2017
