Best sustainable and ethical high street bank

If you are looking for a sustainable and ethical choice, this is easily the best option among the high street banks for a standard current account (for online, check out Triodos as well). Unlike most mainstream banks, the Co-op does not offer services or finance to the fossil fuel industry nor other unethical industries. I feel content that my money is not being invested in activities that undermine our common future. Reviewed on: 20th March 2026

This bank is amazing!

Great ethical bank.

Excellent ethical bank

I love that they are the only major bank not complicit in the Israeli apartheid in Alestine & genocide in Gaza. They are a genuinely ethical bank which is why I switched to them. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026
