Good Bank, Difficult Banking

I have always had excellent service when going to the bank with any queries or requests. However with so many branches closing especially in my local area i had to travel miles just to pay in a cheque. The new online banking app was an upgrade on the original version but still feels quite clunky to use. Reviewed on: 7th February 2019

Easy Switch!

Switched from HSBC for bigger overdraft. Co op made it so easy, never even had to contact HSBC. Everything was sorted quickly and smoothly Reviewed on: 24th January 2016

Student account review

recently got a new student account at the co-op. very easy to open one, and the overdraft was fantastic (1400 in the first year). was a very quick and simple process. 5 stars Reviewed on: 21st January 2016

Good everyday account

It's a fairly low thrills account but service levels are normally very good. Reviewed on: 14th October 2015

Good Bank

Think the service offered is quite good and yes the overdraft on offer is really attractive for students as it helps manage my money across the year. The bank is also quite friendly and when I have used branches in Manchester if feels good to walk in. Reviewed on: 22nd July 2015

Frustrating

On the front, The Co-Operative student account was fantastic. £1400 interest free overdraft, Internet banking, 24/7 phone support = happy client. Right? Wrong. I had the account from June 14-Jan 15 and used there phone lines approximately 30 times. I knew the switchboard codes off by heart. From placing temporary blocks in my account twice for bizarre reasons to not sending bank statements or allowing me to access internet banking. Overall, a frustrating and difficult service. The ethical principle still stands in favour however and I would consider other products in the future, but not as my main current account. Reviewed on: 11th January 2015
