Really impressed with co-op banking

Really impressed with co-op banking. The app is easy to use and my linked saver account is incredibly easy to manage. The best thing for me has been their customer service. Really pleasant staff on the phones, genuinely haven't had any cause for complaint. Reviewed on: 17th June 2024

Simple Savings Account

Easy to use savings account and simple to set up from your online banking. Simple to transfer money from your main account and put a little money away. Recommended. Reviewed on: 3rd August 2023

Interest rates on ALL Coop Bank accounts are abysmal compared to competition. Nice to be ethical and support communities. But doubt the reduction in rates paid reflect the amount paid to communities etc. Was much better 10 +years ago. Moved savings out of coop as got more than double interest elsewhere with the equivalent instant access. Customer help line good but takes for ever to get through. We're 24/7 now office hours? Everything from the Cooperative Bank gone back. Sad to ... Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

Ethical bank

I’ve banked with the co-op for many years and always found their representatives pleasant and helpful and their services efficient. Helps me sleep at night that they have a decent ethical policy. Reviewed on: 1st February 2022

Fantastic! Do good why banking. X

I've had this account for a while now and love how easy it is to use. I have a current account with them too and do lots of online banking. It's easy to transfer money between accounts and it feels good to know it's ethical banking too. Don't be put off by reports about this bank, Customer Service is fantastic and I've always found the staff to be really helpful at the branch or on the phone. Keep up the good work Coop! Seems to be closing many branches

Have had a account with Britannia for years but since the Co_op took over all the local branches are closing and it's getting more difficult to visit a branch. Not just in the area I live - other towns I have visited I have noticed have lost their branches. Very tempted to move my money elsewhere. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

A long process!

I am a student, and I had got given a Britannia Savings Account Book when I was 16 years old, 4 years ago. When Britannia merged with Co-Op it was still simple enough to get money out of my Savings Account, until recently they have been trying to phase out the Britannia Saving Account books, as they are outdated. It was not a simple switch unfortunately, I had to have a meeting regarding changing to a card, but it was unclear what was the most similar to the one I currently had.... Very easy to set up. Helps my chosen charity, and also gain an ATM card.

I decided on this savings account, as I wanted one that would help charity as well as helping me save money.I was really pleased with the ease in opening my account, also to recieve and ATM card which means I can access my money if I need too Reviewed on: 7th May 2015
