Easy saving

Overall poor service and possibly much worse

The online app was very poor. I was unable to access my account. It was difficult to contact the co-op by phone. I wrote letters to close my account and it took several letters of complaint before my funds were returned to me. Letters and dates on correspondence seemed to suggest either they were unprofessional or worse still, not willing to pay me my money. I have now after several weeks received a cheque from them. Really impressed with co-op banking

Really impressed with co-op banking. The app is easy to use and my linked saver account is incredibly easy to manage. The best thing for me has been their customer service. Really pleasant staff on the phones, genuinely haven't had any cause for complaint. Reviewed on: 17th June 2024

Simple Savings Account

Easy to use savings account and simple to set up from your online banking. Simple to transfer money from your main account and put a little money away. Recommended. Reviewed on: 3rd August 2023

Interest rates on ALL Coop Bank accounts are abysmal compared to competition. Nice to be ethical and support communities. But doubt the reduction in rates paid reflect the amount paid to communities etc. Was much better 10 +years ago. Moved savings out of coop as got more than double interest elsewhere with the equivalent instant access. Customer help line good but takes for ever to get through. We're 24/7 now office hours? Everything from the Cooperative Bank gone back. Sad to see. Now obviously like many other banks and peofit to pay shareholders comes first. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

Ethical bank

I’ve banked with the co-op for many years and always found their representatives pleasant and helpful and their services efficient. Helps me sleep at night that they have a decent ethical policy. Reviewed on: 1st February 2022

Fantastic! Do good why banking. X

I've had this account for a while now and love how easy it is to use. I have a current account with them too and do lots of online banking. It's easy to transfer money between accounts and it feels good to know it's ethical banking too. Don't be put off by reports about this bank, Customer Service is fantastic and I've always found the staff to be really helpful at the branch or on the phone. Keep up the good work Coop!
