Proud to have been one of the first investors in 1981

I was one of the first investors in the Ecology Building Society in 1981, and have been a saver ever since. The Society has grown, but the staff are as ready to engage as they were when I was a Foundation Share Holder. The AGMs are always a highlight with guest speakers and reinforce how much good the Ecology does to improve and finance interesting community and private developments. Reviewed on: 1st October 2024

Responsive and responsible savings

Very helpful on the phone (which is answered promptly). Addition of online access to the account details is very helpful. I have had a small savings account for years and they have continued to honour what is now a very advantageous interest rate! Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

True membership-focused society

As well as the administration of the account always being clear and the customer service outstanding, the way the Society keeps members up to date with an informative regular newsletter. Participation in AGMs is encouraged and voting made easy. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

Good service

An ethical building society that meets the needs of its customers and goes the extra mile when others will not. Always get an efficient service and great AGMs pre Covid. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

Great!

As banking is one of the most effective ways of having a positive social and environmental impact, I'm shocked that there are so few ethical banks in Britain, especially considering the current "green wave". Ecology provides excellent service whilst making sure my money is not invested in industries that cause environmental harm. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

Excellent Society

I have been a member of the Ecology Building Society for over 30 years and have always found them easy to deal with, providing excellent service, good communication and fair rates of interest. Ethical savings
