I've been with the Ecology for over 20 years, and always glad to be a customer. One of the very few financial institutions that has... I've been with the Ecology for over 20 years, and always glad to be a customer. One of the very few financial institutions that has a genuinely ethical and responsible approach. No gimmicks or special offers, just simple savings products with decent interest rates. In the past, the online banking was cumbersome, but it's now fine. So good to know your money is supporting other people who need loans to buy, build and renovate properties, rather than going to pay banker bonuses. Also a small company based here in Yorkshire, so what is not to like. Read more Read less

    Ecology Online Banking

    Only gave 4 stars because of the Online Banking, which is not the most up-to-date system. (There is not yet an app, but I believe...     I have been a saver with Ecology Building Society for a number of years. Their customer service is second to none: they are genuine and... I have been a saver with Ecology Building Society for a number of years. Their customer service is second to none: they are genuine and friendly and it is ALWAYS possible to speak to a human - no horrible call queues or phone bots. Any time I have had a query it has been quickly resolved. I like the fact that my savings are being put to genuinely green uses by the Society and that any interest my savings may generate is ethical. I thoroughly recommend them without hesitation.
