Customer service is excellent by message or phone. Would probably have more accounts with them if their online accohnt opening improved (currently only 2 of their accounts can be opened online). App is very easy to use. Reviewed on: 18th April 2026

Have just opened an online account with Swansea Buil...

Have just opened an online account with Swansea Building Society. The process was very straightforward and the account showed up in My Accounts very quickly. Also opened a regular saver account. It is a pity more accounts cannot be opened online as I had to email the forms for the regular saver to be opened but, to be fair, they were on to opening the account as soon as they received the forms. Spoke to a member of staff of the Swansea Branch re a query and they were extremely helpful. They are not the most up to date in relation to their online offering but I would highly recommend. Tried to load app on tablet after years of no proble...

Tried to load app on tablet after years of no problems only to get message saying app now only available on a phone. No communication to say this was happening. Problem is app doesn't work on Huawei phone and to use website have to go on desktop site on smartphone which is dreadful. Secure messages not answered for ages. Have withdrawn funds, closed account and transfer to another building society with far better app and website as well as customer service. Also allows 2 nominated accounts which Saffron doesn't Reviewed on: 18th December 2024
