A solid building society which has remained true to its grassroots principles. Exceptional customer support to help manage savings. A beacon of light in a crowded market place which other larger mutuals would do well to emulate. A leader in lending to sustainable living projects, which is growing in importance if we are to tackle greenhouse gas emissions and the recovery of nature. Ecology Building Society manages to combine the friendliness of a local company with a national reach, and is less well recognised than it should be as a pioneer in the field. Ethical and efficient

Saving with the Ecology Building Society I feel my money's being used well and ethically. It's open and transparent which is really reassuring. And enquiries are always dealt with very quickly and efficiently. I've had an account for many years - they've always been forward-thinking and the good service has been consistent. Outstanding customer service!

I have been with EBS for many years and one of my children has a savings account with them too. Their customer service is outstanding and responsive. I love the fact the EBS lends on sustainable projects in a responsible way, one of the only lenders to do so. Reviewed on: 13th March 2021

Efficient, helpful

Decided to put some savings away with an ethical provider. Having looked at Ethical Investor’s website, the clear choice was the Ecology. Set up a new ISA with them in a matter of minutes and received a follow-up call and correspondence very promptly to check things were right. All very satisfactory. Reviewed on: 13th March 2021
