Just so easy there is no worry

Current account and regular saver accounts are churning the market like a washing machine in full spin but First Direct just keep a steady effortless course for the mainstream customer in spite of all this news grabbing turmoil about challenger banks and peer to peer lending that can leave you feeling exhausted. first direct praise !

switched over ten years ago and will not change again - so YES I would and have - recommend to friends/family . I do mainly bank online , but sometimes call to clarify something or set up a savings account . They are always polite , professional , and friendly ! Cannot fault them . The best regular saver product out there

Used to be 6%, now 5%, but I cannot find anything to beat it. Also the £300 a month limit is higher than anyone else. Not good for stashing great wodges of money, but definitely good for saving up lumps of money for holidays, buy a car and other big things like that. Best of all, their customer service is the best I have seen from anyone, I actually like talking to them! Reviewed on: 6th September 2017

First Direct offer 5% savings from their Regular Saver Account, if you save between £25 and £300 a month. It's a fixed interest rate so won't change once you've opened the account. It's only available to First Direct current account customers. Reviewed on: 31st March 2017

High interest - 6% net!

8 months ago I started a Regular Saving plan with First Direct. It pays 6% net interest as long as you leave the money in for a year and you can pay in up to £300 a month. Beat that! Reviewed on: 28th March 2017
