UNDERHAND GOGIRL

AVOID THIS COMPANY -My daughter was on our policy as a named provisional driver, In April 2016 she passed her test, normally a reason to celebrate but not for us with this company. My wife rang on 12th April 2016 to inform you that she had passed and asked for a quote to see how much it would be to put my daughter on the insurance now she had passed. She also asked if my daughter could still drive if we were in the car, as she had been doing on her provisional licence. My wife was told it would be illegal for my daughter to drive and was given a quote of £1,403 extra. My wife asked if she could think about it and was told the quote was valid for the next 7 days. In no way shape or form was my wife made aware that the whole policy would be cancelled if we didn't get back to them within the 7 days. If they had she would have phoned back or removed my daughter from the insurance there and then. My daughter was then unable to drive the car and was looking to buy her own. My daughter put a deposit on a car on 16 April2016 which she insured in her own right to start from 20 April 2016 when she collected her car. My wife rang you on Thursday 21 April 2016 to remove our daughter from our policy to find with horror that they had cancelled our full policy and that we had been uninsured for two days. Fortunately the car had been parked on the drive. My wife explained that in no way had it been explained that the policy would be cancelled in this way and asked to speak to a manager as the gentleman could not help her, only requoting that the policy had been cancelled and there was nothing that could be done, My wife was passed on to "Erin" who said the policy had been cancelled because we had not been in touch that they had sent two emails, one threatening cancellation the other confirming cancellation. They also listened to the original phone call but made no comment other than to say if I wanted a transcript it would cost £10. They confirmed that as they were an online service they would not insure us over the phone and left us without insurance. They said an £80 refund had been sent to my wife's account. They have dealt with us most underhandedly and our loyalty in renewing with them was misguided. We have now found we are incurring costs with other insurances because they cancelled our policy. Stitched up and left for dead!

Got insurance out with go girl on my first car after being with a different insurer for a year. Purchased a different car and changed over vehicles over the phone along with other details including informing them that I am no longer a student I am working now and will be using the car to get to work and back. Unfortunately I got into an accident a little over a year ago march 2015, when it came to the claims Go Girl where no were to be seen. I had not received any paper work or emails from them upon signing up for the insurance, which I understand I should have chased up, however they informed me after reporting the accident that I was not entitled to a courtesy car as my vehicle was a write off even thought I had added courtesy car as an extra and I had been paying for it. They also informed me that I was not covered at the time of the accident because I did not have commuting on my policy as the accident occurred whilst I was coming from work even though I had informed them that I was working. Go Girl literally dropped me and my case without an apology what so ever! I had to carry on paying the insurance policy until it ended 5 months later! I lost my job, ended up in a financial mess and suffered injury due to the accident resulting in 7 months of physiotherapy. I was put into such an emotional turmoil by the situation, I ended up seeking help from a different company who took on the case, the case lasted a year and a month of back and fourth and a total of £78000 in hire cars! These were charged to the third party. Looking back at it the claim was difficult and unfortunately like every other incompetent insurance company out there Go Girl took the easy way out! They knew the case would be hard going and did not want to be involved. I tried to make a complaint to the management but my complaint was just dismissed. I will most definitely be taking this higher now that my case is over! Be very weary if you go with this company, do all your homework! If anything I would paying the extra and go with a known legitimate company. Reviewed on: 5th April 2016

Don't go girl

Will never again take out insurance with these. Spending 60 min on hold is not acceptable when you fave to work to pay for this insurance. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2016

Dreadful

The Worst Car Insurance company EVER. Their customer service is worse than no service at all. I have purchased the insurance, and after paying the first installment, I was requested to provide a bunch of documents which half of them I did not have as we had currently moved, so the proof of address could not be provided yet, plus the V5 form has not come in the post for a month, etc No matter what I emailed them, each time I have received an email from a different staff member saying that they will cancel the policy if I do not provide the documents, ignoring the fact that I did not have them at hand. After nearly a month of emailing, I have finally received all the documents I needed, except from my proof of address (after moving the house, all the bills were sorted by my daughter and therefore were only under her name). They then suggested me downloading bank statement and sending them over a pdf copy of it. It has been done and accepted. Today, days after sending over the bank statement I have received an email saying my policy been cancelled. Just like that. No explanation, no reason, just a suggestion to get a new policy before driving my car from tomorrow! Never ever have I experienced such a service, such lack of the communication between the team, ignorance and stupidity. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST OR THEY WILL FIND THE WAY TO MAKE YOU GO MAD! Beware

Beware of this so called insurance company. Appears to be operated be three people and so getting hold of them is as easy as climbing the Himalayas. Yes they are cheap but you pay for it in the end. Reviewed on: 12th March 2016

Just awful

I can't believe that Go Girl have any more than 1 star reviews. My experience with them has been dreadful. If a human being is able to actually get through to them I'd be utterly shocked. How can you run a company with one lady on the switchboard? Reviewed on: 2nd March 2016

3 policies, one sad accident write off, all handled with sensitivity, friendliness and speedy professionalism.

As always, contact with Go Girl is a pleasurable experience - nothing is too much trouble, they deal with every little thing with helpfulness and humour (who thought I'd be laughing with a call handler about a 'scrap heap challenge' re: my poor written-off car?). Everything regarding all 3 policies I am involved with is always handled well and followed up with email confirmation. I cannot recommend them more highly. Reviewed on: 26th February 2016

Extortionate price increase!

Insured with goGirl as my daughter was learning to drive. Cheap price initially £800 ish. She passed her test after 6 months. Emailed them and they asked for over £2000 for the rest of the year. Better cover from Diamond for a whole year £1126. I switched. Then comes the 40% for six months as well as £45 to cancel and to top that off £25 to refund my credit card. How they get away with this I don't know. Reviewed on: 24th February 2016

Do not go there

Go girl might be the worst insurance company in the world. My advice. Avoid like the plague. Reviewed on: 23rd February 2016
