MY SON was hit up the rear by a van 6 weeks ago told go girl about it and that the other insurance company was sorting every thing out a few days later go girl notified they was canceling my insurance don,t ow them a penny the woman on phone said today received a red letter from I.C.B DEPT COMPANY demanding i pay £1087.44 not heard a thing from go girl in 4 weeks then get this letter the woman on phone at go girl because they was cancelling there would be no charges and we owed them nothing at all so they need to listen to there recorded phone call because i recorded every phone call to them so i have the proof so now i have been i contact with the financial ombudsman service and the F.S.C.S over this matter BEST ADVICE STEER CLEAR

Subject: Complaint Re Policy Number 00-0WKX2 3PC01 Go Girl

Dear Mr Carter,
I am writing to complain about the unacceptable business practices your company has and more seriously the rude and patronising female Manager called Jamie in your Romford Customer Service Office.

My wife took out a policy with you only today, in fact less than 12 hours ago and at the time as we have both been subject to identify fraud we selected that we were not prepared to provide our driving licence details which your system accepted.

2 hours ago we received an email asking us to provide those details which we are not prepared to do for the advised reason so rang to cancel the policy.

Here the problems and totally unacceptable behaviour of the person we spoke to dwarves even the sharp and unethical business practices your company and I think it would be of great benefit if the call was downloaded and listened too and Jamie advised that as a manager her behaviour was patronising and unprofessional and does your companies already shabby reputation no favours.

When advised that I was not prepared to provide my driving licence details she advised I could cancel and that there would be an administration fee.

When I challenged that how could this be the case as the policy was less than 12 hours old and you had failed to honour the quote that was accepted after we had refused to provide our driving licence details she then continued to talk over me without even listening to what I was trying to say.

You will here from the call Just how unacceptable that call was and it was only when I requested to speak to a manager did she advise she was one and that no I couldn’t speak to anybody else.

You will hear from her voice she is cocky, rude and patronising which I know the Financial Ombudsman takes a dim view of and if she is actually a manager and you condone her behaviour I can’t think that your attempt to list on the stock exchange is going to go well if customers are still subjected to the type of behaviour she has just shown to me.

I request that you refund me in full and also refund the administrative fee that Jamie insisted that we pay without listening to what we had to say and for the absolutely shocking customer service that she provided.

If the fees in full are not refunded nor do you address my complaint against the false information that you provided that my driving licence details would not have to be provided when the policy was being taken out via the Internet I will take my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service where I will seek further compensation to cover my costs and time which I will invoice you for at the rate of £100 plus vat per hour.

So far this evening I have spent over 1 hour on this matter when I have better and more important things to do but as a gesture of goodwill on my part I will not charge you for but rest assured further communication caused by your failure to deal with this matter will be charged at the advised rate.

I also wish to have a written apology for the absolutely shocking way I was spoken to and constantly talked over by Jamie the Manager and an assurance that your online service will be clearer that if a driver does not want to provide their drivers licence and you accept that at the time of purchase it cannot be changed at a later date.

I am aware that you have up to 8 weeks in which to respond to this complaint but as a courtesy I will expect an acknowledgement of my complaint within 2 working days and an estimated time as to when any response to my complaints will be received.

Go Girl was cheapest on Confused.com - I paid the deposit then wanted further documents proof of address etc. Result: they increased the price by £2,272.84.!! DEFINITELY UNBELIEVABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE! I stopped immediately being insured by them on the 20th day and I want to have my refund back for the remaining 10 days!

The customer service was terrible. I work in customer service so I know that sometimes this can be stressful, but their service is just appalling! I was put on hold for 20 minutes but one of their female representatives and all I wanted to do was a number plate change. I was then transferred onto a very abusive and aggressive female. Everyone I have spoken to seems to have no idea. On the phone all you could hear was the colleagues chatting amongst each other. I would recommend this company to no one, they do not have any after sales customer service and treat their customers with no respect. My advise would be to stay clear from this company!

Then she had a message from them asking her to ring them because a couple of days before the accident she had been let go form her job they were saying that she had to pay another £895 on top of her premium!! She has about 4 months left to run.
She has since had 3 more messages and 3 emails about the same thing. She is upset enough about damaging her car without these insensitive insurance company. And they have said if she does not pay it within 7 days she will not get her car back, how is that legal. Avoid like the plague

The price is very competitive but be warned there is effectively no cooling off period. If you cancel within 15 days even if the insurance has not come into force YOU WILL BE CHARGED AT LEAST £45. Make sure you actually read their terms and conditions ...

The price is very competitive but be warned there is effectively no cooling off period. If you cancel within 15 days even if the insurance has not come into force YOU WILL BE CHARGED AT LEAST £45. Make sure you actually read their terms and conditions which clearly state this and a lot more about very expensive charges for ANY changes. Also once they have taken your money you will be asked for loads of extra information which doesn't make this a hassle free insurance in my view. Customer service is mixed - to be fair some are very helpful others are not. I have just bought insurance cover at the end of March which doesn't come into force till mid April and well within the 14 day cooling off period I wanted to cancel because of all the extra questions and hassle but that will cost be £45 so I am stuck for the year. I really dread any accident and won't be using this firm again no matter what the price.

Will not allow you to set a date for your insurance to come out so you have no idea of the due date (however I am advised that it is hidden in the small print that it will come out 22 days after you start the policy). Having paid 2 months in advance had thought I had at least one payday to leave the payment in the bank account but no! 3 months payments taken in one calendar month and a £20 charge on top for the privilege for a \default\" payment. Disgusting behaviour from the call centre team 15 years in customer service and the worst I have ever spoken to. Will never use this company again."""

Asked to cancel. £45 charge to cancel - again policy has not started.

Total rip off company. Avoid like the plague.

Go Girl Insurance, or should I say ‘the computer says NO’ company!?
I had my first years renewal quote through of £383.90. My policy expired at midnight and therefore I called (the Sunday morning) to renew my policy but was told that it now my policy had expired (11hrs ago) I had to apply for a quote again but could only do this online, so I did. The new quote was now £655.60 WOW a massive £271.70 increase.

I phone customer service to see if they could help with the cost but was told the system didn’t allow this ‘computer says NO” and I would have to pay £655.60. No where in the renewal email did it state that the quote would expire once the policy ran out and this wa the very next morning but I was told by customer services at Go Girl (‘computer says NO’) that ‘this was obvious’… not to me it wasn’t. I now face paying an extra £271.70 for renewing my policy or starting a new policy 11hrs after it expired…RIP OFF!!!

Anyway they did me a HUGE favour as I went to Sheilas wheels and got cover for £257.53, massive £398.07 cheaper for the year.

So thanks GOGIRL (‘computer says NO”) for being so UNHELPFUL and so INSULTING during our dealings with each other…NEVER AGAIN.

My advice DO NOT USE GO GIRL INSURANCE!

I have this insurance for my 2005 car which got scratched in my office multi level car park. I called Go Girl and I must say with apprehension of my perception of Insurance companies spending all their time and energy in finding ways to dishonor any claim.
I was surprised at the speed Go Girl entire claim handling process and through every step assured customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company to any Car Insurance buyer.

Excellent service

After my son's car was involved in an accident GoGirl were very good, answering questions quickly and clearly. Email rather than telephone is the trick to good service here as you have everything in writing. Claim was generous and settled quickly.

This company was terrible, my daughter had the worst experience when a man decided to cross a road without looking, thankfully it was a service road and she was coming to a stop out side her boyfriends shop, he hit the side of her car, NOT the front. the police and an ambulance was called and nothing was done. concerning the insurance, they gave her a solicitor as the bloke decided to take it to court, the solicitor played mind games with her, telling her she would never win even though he walked into the side of her car. This caused great distress for my daughter, the insurance never helped her in any way, even though they asked if she would fight for her insurance in court, well duh yes she would. to cut a very long distressing story short, at the last few seconds the blokes solicitor told him he would NOT win in court and the ase was dropped, he was made to pay the full costs to the court and the two solicitors. She has now lost her no claims for this even though it was not her fault, Do Not go to this company, they are thieves when it comes to no claims and even a slight adjustment on a policy.
