THEY ARE NOT !!

I hate to think how many people are falsely travelling with a policy from this company thinking they will receive help when something goes wrong !!

Good to Go is a trading name of Ancile Insurance so I wouldn't use them either if I were you.

They may have good premiums and have nice people on the end of the phone, but they use a 3rd party provider when something goes wrong when you are abroad.
This company is the TIF Group based in Kent.

My wife contracted Acute Bronchitis whilst on holiday in Lanzarote, we duly contacted the TIF Group whose number is displayed on your policy, as your emergency contact. To cut a long story very short I had to organise and pay for all the medical care my wife needed, along with the extension of our hotel accomodation and repatriation flights home.

We provided all the information they asked for whilst on holiday, which is not easy and they did nothing to expedite the information request to our UK GP or anything at all to help us in any way. They were slow, inefficient and couldn't care less.

Their systems and procedures are designed to force you to arrange and pay for everything then claim it back when you get home.

We were home before the claim was finally accepted.

Luckily we had the money to do it, but if you haven't dont think of using them as you will have no peace of mind all the time you are away.

Don't think of using them at all !!

Forget about complaining as their complaints department doesn't want to know.

We have been home for 5 days now, but my wife is still ill, which our doctor thinks is due to the stress of me having to deal with a company thats doesnt care and doesn't provide the services you insure for.

Please note Good to Go has unsubscribed from Feefo, Facebook and Twitter which says all it needs to about the most important part of their service and that is they do not look after you if you have a medical emergency abroad.

You might have noticed that no review on here is about how they deal with a medical emergency apart from this one and they are useless.

They even tried to cheat me out of some of the hotel costs that I have paid up front to the tune of £470.77 luckily I spotted this.

They have agreed to pay me all my costs, only because I have kicked up such a fuss and quite rightly so. Their standard email tells you they will review your case for payment within 2 to 3 weeks. So having paid out for everything, they wanted me to wait 2 to 3 weeks before they even reviewed when they were going to pay me, They just dont care!


Next stop the Ombudsman

Nearly all the reviews for this company are based on getting medical cover for existing illnesses. This company are great at doing that. Just don't make a claim! The company don't even answer the phone. My wife and I were stranded in Australia for 10 days after she was hospitalised with food poisoning. The insurers didn't want to know, rarely answered the phone, and didn't help once. I was left to arrange and pay for new flights, and extend my hotel stay, all at my own cost. They made a very stressful experience much worse. They paid my claim when we finally got home, but if you are expecting help from this company whist you are abroad you can forget it. I've taken the company to the insurance ombudsman, and am considering Court proceedings against them for breach of conract. I will never take a policy out with them again. Beware!

Easy to to understand questions to take out policy, especially as my wife and father in law have a long list of pre existing medical conditions and he is nearly 90 years old. Only provider I could find offering zero excess. The main reason though was because my daughter, her husband and 3 children went on holiday to Corfu in June, and their 2 year old got chicken pox ! They couldn’t fly home as airlines refuse boarding to passengers with chicken pox until they are no longer infectious. They had to remain in Corfu an extra 4 days. Luckily they were with Goodtogoinsurance who took care of everything, arranging for them to stay together in same accommodation, liaison with doctor, arranging flight and transport. They flew from Leeds but returned to Manchester so were provided with transport from Manchester to home in Leeds. Brilliant !

Have used 'Good to go' for several trips to Australia (and other closer places). Never any awkard questions regarding my medical condition and always give the best value for tge cover I require.
I have recommended 'Good to go' to several others with similar medical conditions and who have had a costly (or bad) experience with other companies.
