Shame you dont have a minus score like their telemetric box system. I cant believe they get away with this legalised robbery. The insurance is for my daughter and in her name. Already paid £1300 now need another £810 so she can go to University because of her milage. She did a 60 mile journey on the 12 August that is not even on the website list of journeys. When her car has been parked she is shown to be driving. We cannot make any sense of the readings that they show despite their reasoning for the scores. A licence to print money I am going to The insurance Ombudsman as this needs looking into.

This is worst insurance company to date , they are absolutely money grabbing thieves who can only subject to lying to me on the phone today, so today I received a letter to say my insurance has been cancelled and I owe £152 pound which is bizarre since I have never missed an payment and they already took my payment on the 21 of July , I doubled checked this on my online banking I then give them a call to see why , they began to explain its because I have rang out of mileage and I have topped it up , for one they haven't even contacted to say I have for me to do anything about it and the absolute joke of it my insurance got called on the 29th of July so I have been driving without insurance since today I was absolutley fumming so she got a manager to ring who I cannot not call a an manager as he was beyond a joke he couldn't even tell me why I have been charged 152 pound only thing he said you must pay this !! Without knowing what the hell its for. It states in my policy argeement I would should recieve a letter regarding a 7 day notice of cancellation where has this letter gone because it hasn't come to my address you lieing twats ! And now have robbed me for my no claims and my deposit and now want to charge me 152 I warn everyone please please do not go with this company they will bleed you dry and lie to you . Imagine if you needed to make a claim I very much doubt you would get paid out , ingenie so much better I wish I would pay they extra 20 pound a month to save me this hassle

I cannot stress enough the importance of not going with More Than insurance! My experience with them was awful and the lack of communication on their behalf has resulted in my insurance with them being cancelled however I believe it may have been a silver lining because I do not want to commit to a company who are as incompetent as this one. The policy which I agreed to meant I was required to have a black box fitted into my car, which I had no problems with, I had a black box with my previous company due to me being a young driver. Not only did they fail to notify me when the individual was coming to fit the black box into my car but they also failed to get in contact with me to rearrange my appointment which I inevitably missed due to them failing to inform me. I waited for any kind of communication from them and received nothing however they didn't fail to send me an email confirming my cancellation of my policy because of my lack of a black box for more than two weeks of being with them. I am shocked that being with a company such as this for two weeks now results in me having to confirm to any new insurances that I have in fact had a policy cancelled previously which could affect the prices of any policies I have in the future. I am incredibly disappointed with the level of customer service I received and the complete disregard of my concerns which I brought to their attention. This has been an unacceptable experience and I urge that no one makes the same mistake I did

I have been with More THAN 6 years now starting with pet insurance and finding them second to none in this field i.e. quality of service, value for money, sensitivity at stressful times, to mention but a few, I now have my cars, house/contents insured by them and I am sure that I would also have my Boat insured with them if they provided Marine Insurance, as I am sure they would be as competitive in this field as in all the others they currently provide.
I always compare renewal quotes and it says something that not only am I still with them but have all my other insurance needs provided by them. I continue to recommend them to friends and acquaintances based on my experiences and glad that I followed up on my niece's original recommendation some years ago.

From the start this insurance has been the worst, totally ruined my first years experience in driving having to watch my miles all the time, getting a bad score for hitting a pot hole or using my car when I want, whenever I would call to complain the customer service was just crap apparently 30.1 is speeding to them when legally to be stopped it's 33 mph, I've recently just been in a car accident and I'm still getting emailed about buying more miles ect, maybe they should check the person still has their car before they start pestering for more money as if £230 a month isn't enough.

My daughter is half way through her secoand year with More Than and as a parent it's superb. We can check her driving score and each time she gets a minus score she is very interested to find out where she went wrong. Any parent that is upset that heir child has had their insurance cancelled due to speed etc must be getting fibbed to by their offspring.
Our daughter goes off to uni ( only 30 miles) and we ask her to txt when she gets their - more often than not, she forgets. No probs for us because we can use the app to see exactly where her car is parked. I think the black box is superb and she gets her rewards because she earns them with her good driving.
Cheaper insurance and peace of mind - perfect.

With no chance of driving now as insurance will be through the roof
But I'm thinking maybe it was my driving causing the speed as I know she is good. But more than don't care I feel fines in place are better cancellation I can understand if have an accident or something

After being promised a rewards card when joining and buying insurance, no rewards card came until 1 year and 8 months later. £58 had been taken off because the card had not been registered within the first three months of my insurance. I DIDNT HAVE THE CARD UNTIL EARLY TWO YEARS LASTER - after phoning multiple times asking for it to be sent out. Phoned up and asked why this had happened as was greeted with rude staff and constant requests to call back or being passed on to other useless staff.

When applying for the insurance I didn't think as a different radio would be a modification to the car therefore I didn't put it down. After having the insurance for about a week I arranged for the black box to be fitted. The man that turned up looked at my car for a while and made some phone calls, he then came to the conclusion that the black box is not going to be fitted as; the radio has been changed, there is a small dent in the side and the parcel shelf had holes in it (due to the previous owner removing his speakers). When the man left he said to me to stay near the phone as the insurance company (more than) would contact me the same day, this did not happen. Also he said he would probably see me next week after I had changed the car to so that there was no modifications. After about 4 days I recieved a email saying my insurance would be cancelled and my details had been given out to a group of car insurance companies. They also said they would charge £300 as cancellation fee, as this was my first car the insurance was already expensive at £907 so my dad paid as a birthday present. He was not happy to hear that he would only be getting £607 back after only having insurance for under a month. I started looking for new insurance companies but now I have to declare that my insurance was cancelled, the next cheapest is now about £2000 more. This is why I would not recommend more than insurance to anyone !

Bought this insurance for my 17 year old daughter and me - foolishly thought 5000 miles would be enough and have had to pay another £360 to get through the year - my mistake..
I welcomed the black box because it was like an extra grumpy parent in the car. My daughter was initially proud of her 10 scores but there is no consistency on how to achieve them. The box lies. She went to work 4 miles away last week and the box says she was driving round for 4 hours?? Other time she has had a -10 score for usage, where she has driven from home, stopped for petrol, been to tesco and driven home - all in daylight, smoothly and within the speed limit.
Too many negative scores mean none of the promised discounts at renewal. More Than win - we lose... Will certainly be looking elsewhere in May.

My son passed his test last June 2016 got more than smart wheels insurance. all fine with scores for 3 weeks then he got a -10 for speed. Rang up he thought he was in 40 zone but was a 30 oops ok the score has taken ages and ages to go up even though he's scored a constant +10 every journey for months. Then usage went down to 3.2 I rang it apparently does this automatically after 6 journeys.. which I kind of knew but when he stalled it on the way home on his 6th journey bang!! Usage 3.2. Smoothness varies depending how he drives some days it's low and he can't understand why some days it's 10 and he can't believe it as he had to slam on cos a car pulled out on him... I've spoken to more than numerous times and to be honest they are not forthcoming with the rules.. one time coming home from college there was a major event on the M62 so everywhere was gridlocked it was the 2nd journey of the day and an 8.4mile trip this took 1 hour 35 minutes as traffic bad... Usage 3.2 I rang they said journeys over an hour will be penalised... Next long delay I told him to pull over and switch off before the hour came up.... He did this. Strangely this didn't register ignition off so usage again down to 3.2. I rang they couldn't understand this.. I said it registers a new journey when he stalled making his 6th trip 7 but not when he pulls over... No answer from them... So after numerous phone calls and trials by my son these are the facts..
1, if you do more than 6 journeys within 24 hours your usage goes down
2, if you drive for over 62 minutes your score goes to 8.3 after 63 minutes it's 5.6 after 64 minutes it's 3.2 even if it's your first journey.
3 if you switch off and on after about 45 minutes of driving knowing you will be queueing for more than the hour it rarely registers a new trip.
4 if you drive anytime between 11pm and 5am you'll get hammered though I haven't managed to test if this is incremented say after 10pm you'll get 8.3 usage or whatever... But I'm sure judging by the rest of the rules I know about they will hammer you for this too
7. the 24 hour driving period doesn't have a start and end time it's a rolling 24 hours eg. you set off to work Monday 7.45 am that's 1 you go to shop for lunch that's 2 you go back to work that's 3 you drive home but stop for fuel that's 4 you've got fuel and go home that's 5 the next morning it's icy so you start your car at 7.20 to defrost and set off that's 6 journeys then you call at shop on the way to work at 7.35 that's 7 then you continue to work effectively on your 8th journey within 24 hours... Your usage will be 3.2 or less by doing nothing at all wrong.
These are facts I've learned and I'm still waiting for them to call me back when he got 3.2 usage on his 5th journey within 24 hours... They couldn't explain that one and were supposed to call me back last week..

My daughter took car insurance out with this company as they seemed reasonable on the comparison websites but little did we know that we would be robbed of her hard earned money!!! She had a black box fitted then less than 3 months into the policy we had an email and letter to say her policy was being cancelled due to speeding. I was in the car with my daughter at the the black box recorded this false information and NO WAY was she SPEEDING!!!!!!! They cancelled her policy but two days before it was due to be cancelled they took another monthly payment which we have no refund for and cancellation charges to pay on top. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SCUM WHO RIP YOUNG DRIVERS OFF. Now my daughter cannot afford to insure her car as the premiums are sky high to the policy being cancelled. Will be contacting Watchdog about this.
