RSA we're a brilliant company who paid straight away , everything was straightforward & staff were very sympathetic at sometimes very sad moments in my life due to poorly dog.I've been charged two excesses and two co insurances on the same claim due to my claim being submitted in the middle of the changeover and other excuses which adds to the stress your dealing with over your sick animal , they managed to get £400 off my claim in the end , I'm very upset and annoyed at the outcome , these companies make phenomenal amounts of money and take advantage of stressed pet owners at possibly they're worst moments .Anyway in short DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY , They're a Terrible company to deal with now and I shall be leaving ASAP, unfortunately no other company will take on my elderly sick dog , so I'll bide my time Read more Read less

They have almost doubled my premium because I claimed this year even though I hadn’t claimed for the previous four years… it still went up each year before that too!! When it was administered by RSA, the claims handling process was excellent - simple to do on-line - quick to settle - and you could track progress of the claim by accessing your account. Since Admiral took over, it has been nothing short of a disaster. Tried to submit a claim on 10 Sept - on-line form wouldn't recognise the policy number. It turned out that when the new policy started in January, this year, the policy number was changed and no one bothered to tell me. Said they would send out letter again - it's just arrived - with the same RSA Policy Number that I had originally!! Everyone is blaming 'new computer systems'. Submitted claim eventually - and not having had any form of acknowledgement that they had received the claim for two days, rang this morning to make sure they had got it. Was told, initially that they hadn't and I was asked what the Claims Number was - I didn't have it because the system doesn't generate one - contrary to what the claims handler was saying. Then.....surprise,surprise - he suddenly found the claim - and once again blamed "this new computer system we are still getting used to". And how long are they going to use that excuse - they've been dealing with More Than Pet insurance for almost a year! Obviously the claim has still to be settled but I not holding out much hope of seeing that happen anytime soon. What a deplorable state of affairs. BVS is meant to validate a claim but instead off addressing the claim they are only interested in under cutting the claim. Also the reviews on this company are horrendous. I will be reporting both companies to the insurance ombudsman as well as writing to Which the consumer champion.
