I would strongly urge anyone considering taking out a vehicle insurance policy with More Than / RSA to go elsewhere. I was a named driver on a company policy where the limited company was the owner, registered keeper and policyholder. The vehicle was stolen from the company's registered business address overnight, and all I did , was report the theft on behalf of the limited company. Everything appeared fine until I tried to renew my personal insurance, where I found that RSA had put me on the CUE check list as the "driver" of the limited company vehicle, and that I had an "at fault" claim. On complaining to RSA, they said that the last driver should have been asked for, and that on theft they log the last driver as the named driver responsible. I clearly explained that the last driver was unknown, had not been asked for, and there was no legal text anywhere in the Terms and Conditions to state the last driver would be held responsible on theft. I escalated my complaint with RSA, and even involved the CEO, Mr Stephen Hester, but their final response denied my complaint, stating that it "appeared" I was the last person in charge of the company vehicle, and that policy wording would not specifically state the last driver will be logged as the named driver on theft. They then go on to state the personal information posted about me on the CUE system is factually correct. My understanding of contract law is everything must be in the Terms and Conditions at the inception of business, not something that can be altered or made up by one party as the contract goes along to suit their ends. When the last driver or driver in charge is not specifically given or asked for, and although RSA may want it to "appear" that they have determined who that individual may have been to suit their "procedures", it most certainly cannot be deemed to be "factual". RSA have effectively made two entities financially responsible for one incident, which only the policyholder should be held liable for. The ramifications of this are horrendous for every last driver / in charge individual of a vehicle insured by RSA on theft, where the vehicle is owned, registered and the policyholder is another person or company. I will be checking every vehicle I drive in the future that it is not insured by RSA, and will never do business of any kind with them again, as their "procedures" are created to cause as much financial damage as possible to their customers. My complaint is now with the Financial Ombudsman. Reviewed on: 30th May 2020

Insurers From Hell

I had to query it to get confirmation of 2000 top up. Monthly usage emails. Then an email saying I was running out of miles. I replied that I wasn't. They replied that indeed I wasn't. No apology. Then an email saying I had run out of miles. I replied that I hadn't. They replied O yeah, you haven't. You still have **** miles left. Again, no apology. Absolutely the worst outfit I've ever come across. No wonder they're going out of business. Reviewed on: 9th January 2024

Less Than Happy

Want your car claim settled for half the value without your consent? No problem. Want to be told you have 9 years no claims one day, then 3 years the next day? Not an issue. Want to spent hours on hold, only to speak to someone who’s more interested in their holiday than your stolen car? Go to More Than! More than is a poor car insurance

More than are a poorer car insurance company if u miss one payment they cancel your policy and don't send a certasy call to say there is a issue, and you are driving around with no insurance total out of order, it's not a company I would recommend!!! Reviewed on: 27th September 2023

Best price car insurance

Expensive

Scammers

Worst insurance company out there from what I've seen, seem like a good price for a new driver at the start it includes a blackbox, all was going okay except a few occasions that I was emailed by them saying that I had been speeding when I definitely had not been and as I was close to my milage limit and would be needing to buy more, I noticed my score started going steadily down daily, I know this was not as it should have been since I wanted to get the miles cheeper as this is based on your driving score, I was driving no where near the speed limit and not taking any corners above 10mph, called them up, they were useless and told me the bad score was because I'd gone 31 in a 30 a week and a half before but since then all been green however the sore still dropping each day. The miles would cost be over £1000 for 3000 miles. Avoid their seemingly great offers! Reviewed on: 7th June 2023

A company that provide a very slow service and pays out less than.
