Review of the Paragon Bank, Fixed Rate Savings Account:

Very poorly trained staff & managment. They are Rude, Incompetant Liars.

Opened account and all seemed well. THEN received a letter asking me to send a current bank statement to confirm that my nominated bank A/c, (Barclays) was my bank. This was the same bank A/c that used to transfer my 65k from? When i queried this I drew a blank so asked to speak to a manager who was also unable to explain - just told me that i had no choice. Not wishing to have complications accessing my rather large amount of money i reluctantly sent it on. Two weeks later rang and asked how long before it get returned and was told that it has been sent(?). Waited another 3 days and no sign. phoned again and told that it had been sent. said i have already been told that and was then admonished for wasting her time if I already knew that!! I again asked to speak to a manager and was told that she would get one would ring me. 8 DAYS later I was called and she told me she had listened to all the phone messages and apologised and told me that because i had been messed about that she will send back my statement by recorded delivery. (Wow, I was so elated. How bloody magnanimous of them). She was also unable to explain why it was needed. just told me it was something to do with security. Anyway, recorded delivery arrived and I immediately transferred my funds out, never to return. Despicable behaviour by a company that you are meant to trust to look after your hard-earned. Not sure if I am entitled to write this

I never actually became a customer as I gave up trying to deposit money with them. They sent everything back and would not answer the phone. No confidence. Reviewed on: 16th January 2023

Good savings account

I created a savings account with Paragon a few years ago because they had the best interest rates. They pay interest monthly if you so choose. I am still with them now despite rates being lower, but they are still competitive Reviewed on: 12th January 2022

Super efficient and good communication

I opened a savings account and transferred my existing ISA from another bank. Within minutes I was informed by email that both had gone through. Deposits were also confirmed by email very quickly. Would definitely recommend as the interest rates are very good in an otherwise terrible market Reviewed on: 30th December 2021

Disgusting behaviour from Paragon

Disgusting behaviour from this heartless bank! I have five accounts and need to close two because me and the wife are separating. They want evidence that we are separating (pathetic) we have sent evidence proofing this but have still not been given a decision a week later! Avoid this shower of #hite and stick to a high street bank. Reviewed on: 30th July 2021

Good rates
