Don't expect to be able to claim on your insurance

Last week, I had to use an emergency locksmith to get into our home. My key and my partner's key both simply did not unlock... Last week, I had to use an emergency locksmith to get into our home. My key and my partner's key both simply did not unlock the door. Something turned in the lock, but the deadbolt did not move. So, we called an emergency locksmith to get us in. I tried to make a claim with Policy Expert. However, they were unwilling simply to accept the written receipt for the work. They wanted a "professional assessment" of what had happened to the lock. Given that the locksmith had drilled through the lock and I had thrown it away, it was impossible to get this "professional assessment". So beware. Policy Expert may offer cheap prices, but their claims team made it extremely difficult for me to make a successful claim. When I come to renew my insurance this year, I'll be going with a large company - even if they charge me more I hope that they will be less tricky when it comes to making claims. Read more Read less

My 4 Yr old roof membrane had separated due to bad weather but you have declined the claim saying that the day I identified the damage the wind did not meet the 55mph minimum! The damage must have OBVIOUSLY occurred earlier (the roofer has today revealed that the board is grey and clearly been exposed for a while indicating damage from an earlier storm) and got worse over a period of time but because of this 'policy wording' you won't pay the claim. Utterly dispicable. I pay for flat roof cover under a 'gold' policy with policy expert. Beggars belief that when I need a small amount of insurance cover you do what you can to avoid paying. What you'd be like in a larger claim is quite scary. What an awful insurance company who's reviews look great until you need them.... and I will not be using Policy Expert again. I noticed some noises on Fri 18th April when it was windy. I do not know whether the initial damage occurred last time 60 plus mph winds hit a few short weeks ago but damage has clearly spread until it got to a point of me hearing it. I'm partially deaf. We are also on a marines base flightpath and have chinnooks regularly flying just above the roofline. The property is raised and more exposed than most in the area and we do experience strong winds. I've already left a negative review on trust pilot and will continue to do so on other sites until you review this legitimate claim to my satisfaction. Why do you make it so hard to claim?     My insurance was on a annual rollover in that i was informed that my insurance would be renewed automatic , to which i emailed back... My insurance was on a annual rollover in that i was informed that my insurance would be renewed automatic , to which i emailed back to proceed, however the insurance was not renewed which resulted in my car not being insured for 3 months until i was reminded by a ANPR advice, this poor service was dangerous , i could have had a accident resulting in loss of life. This was a frightening experience, the only response i had when reporting it to your company was go to another insurer which was disgusting. The whole situation was very poor. I will be posting this on my google review so too reporting this episode to the insurance ombudsman. Read more Read less

    Might be the Cheapest insurance but the customer journey is shocking. Paid for my insurance three weeks in advance, received one email asking for additional... Might be the Cheapest insurance but the customer journey is shocking. Paid for my insurance three weeks in advance, received one email asking for additional information by 20th January. On the 20th January 5 days because my policy even started i received an email to say my policy will be cancelled on the 28th January with no option to rectify this. I have since rang this insurance three times as i keep getting asked for more information and sent very misleading information. They’ve charged me an additional £80 and feel like this isn’t the end of there never ending requirement and badly worded scare mongering emails. God help me if i do have an accident in the next year as i dread having to deal with them. Please choose another provider i have never had this many issues in the 15 years i have had car insurance.     Policy Experts - Absolute sharks.

    Absolute sharks. They took my money and insured my car AFTER I disclosed the modifications on the car I have just bought. THEN THEY CANCELLED... Absolute sharks. They took my money and insured my car AFTER I disclosed the modifications on the car I have just bought. THEN THEY CANCELLED the insurance 2 and a half weeks later because they say it has too many modifications. I did all the back ground checks before hand on the car, the car was completely clear and was bought from a reputable dealer. 2 and a half weeks later ie today. They ring me up and tell me that THEY are cancelling the insurance because the car has too many modifications. Even though they accepted it at the outset online when I paid for it. They are now charging me £79 from the initial deposit and first months premium that came out yesterday for cancelling the policy. They said it does not matter that they are cancelling, I still have to pay the cancellation fee. I mean, what can you say, I am just gobsmacked. They just gave the usual, its in the terms and conditions, I asked the girl how many times do you read the TnCs to which she replied I don't, but I would accept them if they were in there. Also as if that isn't bad enough. Any new insurance, I now have to select yes I have had insurance declined or cancelled in the last 3 years (through no fault of my own which puts the cost up). I have just been on the insurer admirals website and their site said to ring them when I input the modifications, as it would not let me carry on. That is what Policy Experts website should have done, stopped me and forced me to ring them and question me about the car. Admiral were happy with the Modifications when I spoke to them, as I disclosed exactly what Policy Expert had done.     Disappointing Service, Unexplained Denials, and Poor.

    I am thoroughly disappointed with Policy Expert UK and Trinity Claims. Despite submitting valid claims on my policy, every single one has been denied without... I am thoroughly disappointed with Policy Expert UK and Trinity Claims. Despite submitting valid claims on my policy, every single one has been denied without any clear explanation or reasoning, leaving me completely in the dark about their decision-making process. Their customer service is equally frustrating. They fail to call back at the agreed times, don’t respond to messages in their portal, and treat you as though you’re being dishonest just for filing a claim. The interactions feel condescending and unprofessional, especially if you happen to have a foreign-sounding name. For non-native speakers, there is no patience or consideration either, which only adds to the feeling of being dismissed and unvalued. I would strongly advise against using this company if you’re looking for support and transparency when it matters most. This has been a deeply disappointing experience with no accountability in sight. Read more Read less
