Balance Transfer Card

1
Very disappointing. Applied for and received balance transfer card with initial credit card limit in excess of £2500. HOWEVER , on receipt of the card my transfer limit was set at only £200 - no good to man nor beast! Reviewed on: 29th December 2016

Non notification of direct debit domancy

1
I too, after years of having a PO card, have been very badly stung by a slight of hand by PO and BoI meaning that instead of paying of the total as I though I have accrued three-figure outstanding balance. Four calls to them (and dealing with my own bank) has left me with no option to pay - and close my account. I couldn't do that on the phone - as they no longer take payments by phone. Their internal 'complaints' team are a fraud. Under no circumstances use this shabby outfit who have NO customer service and frankly show the worst side of banking. Avoid at all costs. Great product but rubbish customer service and technology

2
Opted for a new Post Office Credit Card after seeing a very long 0% deal (24 months) which was, and still is great. However, they 'lost' my first payment back to them paid online and they issued a default payment to my account. After 4 very long phone calls with conflicting advice, they 'found' the payment and issued a refund of it but were only unable to remove the default after 2 more long phone calls. The App that is available for management of the account is also very poor, and requires reinstalling every few weeks. Overall, the deal available for the credit card is a good one, but should something go wrong the customer service and software they provide for managing the account are very poor.; Reviewed on: 14th November 2016

Poor service means card benefits aren't worth it

1
I used to like my Post Office card for its lack of foreign currency fees and for making it cheaper to buy currency. However, recently I've been subject to endless poor service problems that has cost me over £50 to date due to mistakes by the Post Office. The fee savings just aren't worth the headache and the fees caused by their mistakes have probably erased any savings anyway. Just don't bother with this card. Reviewed on: 12th November 2016

Direct debit cancelled without informing me

1
I missed a direct debit payment due to a change in my salary payment date. I rectified as soon as I realised and during the phone conversation with with customer service I was told I didn't need to do anything else and the following months DD would go ahead as before. The next month I received a letter saying that I had failed to make my payment, when I called they told me that my bank must have cancelled, so began and back and forth situation trying to figure out what had happened only for PO to eventually admit they had cancelled the direct debit. Even though they apologised during the call, they added a negative make to my credit rating which the refuse to remove. I have been a customer for several years and find the standard of customer service particularly over the weekend to be appalling. I have been left with an adverse credit rating over a cancelled direct debit of £40. Reviewed on: 29th October 2016
