My Post Office Credit Card

My Post Office Credit Card has been great for me because for the first 18 months I pay no interest on the balance. I just have to make the minimum payment every month. I use the app to manage the account, which was easy to download and straightforward to use. I have never had any problems using this card and would recommend it to anyone, especially if the interest free period is still available. Reviewed on: 14th October 2016

worse customer service ever

aviod avoid do not sign up for a credit card with the post office. They say they have sent mail out and when you don't receive it they charge you late payments and add it to your credit score... then they are not interested when you lodge a complaint.. the very worse rude staff and dismissive attitude I have ever come across... avoid post office for credit cards transfers

I made a balance transfer to post office credit card. set up direct debit... sounds easy.. received a late payment bill and messed up credit rating and late payment fee... there fault, they refunded the £12 late payment fee and said sorry your direct debit was nt set up quick enough..so you needed to make manual payment. I had no knowledge of this ... rang up.. sorry it will have to go through complaints procedure ..may take 8 weeks, even though it has taken us 3 seconds to wreck your credit score...it may take up to 2 months to fix it... but tough avoid this company.. never had this problem with any other credit card...avoid avoid avoid Reviewed on: 1st October 2016

If you want a credit card that you can't access from a company who doesn't want to help, then this is your company!!! Absolutely appalling customer care who do not deal with your complaint. I've not even used my card, its now cut up and being sent back. What sort of company in this day and age makes you write in to them to reset your account security!!! Not one of there advisors could help and no response to my numerous complaints! Won't be wasting my time with any of their products again! Reviewed on: 24th September 2016

Regret & nightmare for having the post office credit card

This is to let you all know the dreadful service provided by the Post Office credit card provider. More than £2k was made on my card without my authorisation, in others words I was subjected to fraud. I have spent a small fortune talking to their customer services team on the phone explaining the issue but after sending evidence by registered post to their fraud department more than 5 weeks ago, their only communication is to send me a default payment notice despite customer services advising that I should block the payment from my Santander account. Shoddy service and impossible to talk to anybody who can help, just pushed from pillar to post! I suppose next step is the financial Ombudsman.......watch this space Reviewed on: 18th September 2016

Be careful how you judge.

I applied for credit card and was accepted and then wanted to add my wife. Too much information needed to be sent that she applied in her own name (Online) and was accepted straight away. As for me, while in the USA (having advised them I was going) I received a text message querying 2 amounts in GBP asking if they were mine. As all my transactions had been in US$ and no payee details were supplied I was not prepared to spend 79 pence a minute on phoning and no email facility was available. While there, I downloaded my statement and tried to print it off but is was only gibberish. The same thing happened on my return to the UK and I sent a message to ask if they would send a printed statement (having changed my options online). I subsequently phoned and was informed it would cost me £5.00. To my surprise, a few days later a printed statement was received in the post and no charges have been made. SInce then, I used another printer and was able to obtain a correctly printed document. My initial reaction to my experience was not favourable but after a few days and a little more work I am pleased to admit that some of the problems I encountered were self inflicted and not the fault of the company. Waste your time with incompetent people - apply today!

Any application - even on line - will be eventually followed up by a letter over a week later requesting copies of multiple documents. The information they obtain is already available to the world and certainly all financial bodies; They said they use Experian but clearly don't. You then take them to the post office for certification. The staff are not trained and do not certify correctly, and post it off. Over a week later they send a letter telling you to do it all again. You get the same benefits with a Halifax Clarity card, and the exchange rate for money at the Post Office isn't actually good either so the 'no fee' offer is pointless too. By the time I went through the situation over the phone I was told a complaint would be sent but not acted upon, and the time frame for the whole process tots up to actually a month for completion without cock ups (which is not mentioned on the blurb, and they use the word MAY when actually they mean MUST). Avoid this organisation: they are financially failing for good reason. Reviewed on: 25th July 2016

Disgusting Customer Service

I have had a PO Platinum card for many years with no problems. Four weeks ago they sent me the usual reminder to say that my statement was ready. When logging on I inadvertently put the wrong password in twice and was locked out. My fault entirely! I have now made four long calls to customer service since then and they seem incapable of sorting this out. Half the time they don't even seem to understand what the problem is and keep going away to ask someone. I am now giving up and destroying the card. If you don't want to check your statements and know your balance, use them but otherwise do not entertain them. Reviewed on: 29th June 2016
