Behaving like a back street tin-pot insurer

I'm sure many people have had a similar experience. Car accident, not my fault, car needs repairing. Should be straightforward yes? Especially with a top drawer company like Saga with a 5 star rating? Don't you believe it. Incomplete repairs, quibbling over rectification of incomplete repairs, multiple phone calls to people trained in the art of obfuscation and sloping shoulders. I've been with Saga for years, never had a claim and now I'm being treated like the dirt on their shoes. An absolutely appalling company - all shiny at the front but awol when it comes to fulfilling their obligations. Reviewed on: 19th March 2020

Amazing incompetence... Chocolate Tea-Pot!

We have received a letter today acknowledging my telephone complaint made in DECEMBER 2017, asking if I would like to follow it up? Today is FEB 22nd 2020!! We have long since gone to a professional insurance company, and will steer away from your door. All the pensioners taking out new policies, at what they think to be very good premium, should consider the most important issue of 'if they have to make a claim' what is this companies track record like? Read the feedback, and don't say you weren't warned. Taking the premium is one thing, paying out is a completely different one. Sorry Richard Smith, not impressed at all with Saga, or should I say A RIGHT SAGA of a COMPANY. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2020

Awful company

Company ok until you have to claim then you will regret ever going with them. Worse insurance company i have ever been with & I'm 61. 4 months to resolve & I'm out of pocket by over a £1000 in an accident i was totally innocent in. Pay a bit extra & go with a company more competent & more professional just in case you need to claim. Reviewed on: 21st January 2020

Couldn't find my dad's car

My father was involved in an accident. The day after the accident we gave SAGA all the information they needed and Saga arranged for the car to be collected the next day, which it was. Monday came and my dad's curiosity car turned up, but the garage that was going to repaired said they hadn't got the car - alarm bells were ringing by this point. A tow truck had come to collect the car on Friday the day after the accident and I'd handed them the key because it was expected. Forty minutes passed and despite being told by SAGA they hadn't arranged or authorised the garage for the vehicle to be collected they confirmed it had been collected and was with a completely different garage. My dad was stressing and I was stressing as well. Completely useless, I won't be using them when I get to that age and my dad will be using something else after this episode.
