Rip off fees and buy back charges

Pre loaded in euros I visited the canaries I used my card in cashpoint and they charged me over 30 euros to draw 150 euro out! And every shop purchase I made they charged me a currency conversion fee!! Now I'm home I'm trying to get the money back but 14 days later and iv still not received anything! They make it so hard to claim your money back you consider giving up!! And what money you have left and want to transfer back to your account is bought at a much higher rate so you loose massively!! Reloading technical problems lost £500

I went online to reload my card, went all the way through the process and then a message popped up to say that they had technical problems but that they would keep on trying. Three days later and still no funds, yet over £500 has been taken from my Bank account for prepaid card transaction. Neither party will return my money, nor load my Cash passport card, and I am abroad. I have spent three days sending emails, online chat, online forms, and telephone calls, without success. Don't touch the Sainsbury's cash passport

My card didn't work - very embarrassing in a restaurant. Sainsbury's are making it virtually impossible for me to get the full amount refunded that I paid for euros on the card. They are offering to buy back at their much lower rate. Completely unacceptable. I will be going to the financial ombudsman. Reviewed on: 7th December 2016
