Excellent right from the start

I got a personal loan from Shawbrook Bank. With their soft credit search they were able to give me a fair and personalised loan rate unlike the high street banks that advertise teaser rates and perform hard credit searches. Bad customer service

I requested to settle my loan , was sent a letter indicating the final balance and bank account details for sending transfer to . The money was sent across yet 6 weeks after sending that money I haven’t had a letter confirming they’ve settled the loan , infact they keep saying that they can’t find the transfer , yet they can see something on the account . Taking more than 24 hours to transfer money

Many moons ago banks used to take days clearing good funds to be credited to their client's accounts. It seems an age ago. I find in this digital age that it is my money they are using and they get one to two days interest for this dishonesty. As a customer I'd rather they relected a lower interest rate on their deposit account if they want to generate more income. What a complete waste of time !

Got accepted for a loan saying it’s successful signed credit agreement, direct debit ect , did a debit card check and an open banking check, was then told to send payslips ! Gets an email back sorry your loan can not be accepted. I would t ever consider this bank again what a poor service and a complete waste of my time !! Reviewed on: 9th November 2023

Very bad bank

Awful service This bank should not be in business, I took out a loan earlier this year with them, I got a little nervous when starting with them as they requested an account link so they could access my personal bank account, but as it was through a secure service I thought it was ok, I got the loan and all was ok made a few payments then I though I would settle the loan as my savings was looking healthy and I got a better interest rate offer from my personal bank so I though le... I am taking them to court

Disgusting, I owe them 50k, they holding 2M worth of property assets, they won’t let me pay the loan of, nor are they taking me to court for not paying them, they want information again and again, absolutely stupid, I think it looks good to hold so much property on their books, or is it I black, or because I am a male, I don’t know, this is mad, this is the first bank that won’t let pay of the loan, can somebody please help. My experience with the company is terrible.

It starts at the top… but the lack of values and ethics across the asset management team misleading clients to sale - is just terrible. Before you agree to anything ensure you have read and verified their T&C, especially small print. Their asset management team and Hire purchase terms are two different worlds.
