Excellent Bank

When I emigrated from the Netherlands to the UK in 2019, I was looking for a British bank. I first spoke to them personally in the office. Then I had an account for a few months. I have had very bad experiences with Nationwide (too much waffle, waffle, failure to keep appointments), HSBC (extremely chaotic and illogical security, no manners to new customers, lack of basic balance administration), Halifax (extremely chaotic menu, lack of basic balance administration), Barclays (completely old-fashioned approach to new customers), Lloyds (employees eating sandwiches at the counter, appointments they forget). Until I met Starling Bank. None of that. Perfect balance administration. As a Dutch person, I am used to doing financial things straight forward. And their helpdesk responds quickly. Saving money is easy with money pots.....

I really enjoy the money pots keeping money saved is really easy. I like the pie chart telling you exactly what you spend your money on. It makes seeing what is being spent when and where easy. Being online means it is fast at setting up and there is no paperwork, making it easy to fill in forms using the phone or computer. Customer service is also done through chat on the phone or computer so you don't have to speak to anyone if you suffer from anixety like me, this is great as I have problems speaking on phones. The easiest bank to use - and its safe!

Starling allows me to see what payments are going out of my bank in advance - and also payments coming in in advance. Also the instant notification of card use makes me feel safer as I had changed to Starling on a recommendation after my previous bank had allowed several fraudulent transactions to go through over several months.
