Review of the TSB, Classic Plus Account:

Opened a Classic account direct from a pop up ad when I was checking my emails.

I was impressed by the benefits in a pop up ad at the side of my emails and applied for the account the same day. The screen listed all the wonderful benefits again and I completed the form - no mention that account had to be opened after 1st March. I noticed, when checking my account today, that the £5 cash back for having more than 2 direct debits was not being paid. Phoned to check this and, after some delay, was told the benefits were only applicable to accounts opened after 1st March. When I emphasised the point about the ad appearing on my screen I was told that they didn't start running the ad until 1st March. Would like to know if anyone else saw this pop up before 1st March. Also, separate issue, I applied on line for their credit card, received acknowledgement of the application and that was that, (My credit rating is excellent by the way)When I phoned it turns out it has got lost in the system and I need to wait 30 days to reapply. Am not going to bother! Customer services are very pleasant and helpful but their system doesn't appear efficient. Reviewed on: 7th May 2017

Miss the old tsb brand

I miss the illustrations TSB used to have as part of their branding. Where you login to the app early morn it’s someone on their commute. Or in the middle of the night it’s a father nursing a baby. It was subtle but made TSB more human which is rare for any bank to acheive. I thought it very much delivered on their community bank approach. I miss this. The new brand is cold. And makes TSB feel quite corporate and unappealing Reviewed on: 18th January 2022

The Spanish Bank from Hell

I tried to pay my council tax and The Spanish Bank claimed I was trying to commit fraud by doing so. They then locked my accounts and have thereby stolen £2000 from me. They are saying I must go to a branch and give them some documents that I don't even possess. I can't go to a branch because I'm in a wheelchair and the nearest branch is 15 miles away, and even that one is closing down. I complained, they told me to die in a fire. I passed it to the ombudsman, they said The Spanish Bank has done nothing wrong and that they can keep my money. Now I can't pay my rent and am being threatened with eviction. The Spanish Bank knows all this and doesn't give a damn. Reviewed on: 3rd September 2021

Well, probably one of the worst internet bank experiences out there, that only kept me as a customer with keen interest rates. Now that's gone, so have I, as I suspect many others will. Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

I’ve been to the bank I have a wasted two hours with my Internet banking which is been blocked for months he was working in the bank since I came out of the bank , not working anymore I can’t believe how do use people they survive Reviewed on: 31st December 2020

CHAPS TRANSFER FROM CLASSIC PLUS ACCOUNT TO BENEFICIARY

I PERSONALLY WENT TO TSB COVENTRY BRANCH TO MAKE A CHAPS TRANSFER OF LARGE AMOUNT FOR THE INVESTMENT ON 26TH OCTOBER 2020, WHICH WAS EXECUTED BY THE BRANCH CASHIER OVER THE COUNTER. CHAPS TRANSFER MEANS THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS MUST BE CREDITED TO THE BENEFICIARY'S ACCOUNT LATEST BY 6PM ON 26TH OCTOBER 2020. ON 27TH OCTOBER, THE BENEFICIARY INFORMED ME THAT THE FUNDS HAVE NOT BEEN CREDITED YET. I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THAT HOW THE ELECTRONIC TRANSFER CAN GO MISSING. SINCE THEN I AM ASKING TSB BANK AS TO WHERE IS MY MONEY BY LOGGING THE QUERY WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICES 3 TIMES SO FAR, WITH THE BRANCH STAFF PERSONALLY ON 28TH OCTOBER 2020, SENT EMAILS TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT OF THE BRANCH, BUT NONE OF THEM SHOWN ANY COURTESY TO UPDATE ME ABOUT MY LARGE FUND. I FEEL NOW THAT TSB BANK DON'T CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER AS ON TODAY STILL I HAVE NOT BEEN INFORMED AS TO WHERE IS MY MONEY AFTER 6 WORKING DAYS. THE BENEFICIARY HAS QUESTIONED MY INTEGRITY AS WELL. THIS STANDARD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RUBBISH AND GAVE ME THE FEELING AS IF TSB BANK DO NOT CARE FOR YOUR MONEY MISSING ON THEIR PART. THE AMOUNT OF TRANSFER WAS MY PENSION. I AM ALSO PENSIONER AS WELL. BUT TSB BANK STAFF DON'T BELIEVE IN CUSTOMER CARE. AS ON TODAY I AM STILL WAITING FROM TSB TO GIVE ME THE FULL INFORMATION AS TO WHERE IS MY MONEY. Absolutely worst ever bank

My local branch part closed, then shut down completely... I work 6 days a week Mon to Sat, from 9-6, therefore I can't get access to any bank as the local one closed and the nearest one is over 1 hour away by car.... Tsb are too idiotic and the only bank that I can't deposit cash into the post office with!!, I get a lot of cash in my work so it's hard not being able to bank it at all!, then I once got £400 taken from my account by some fraudulent activity and the bank wouldn't refund me!, absolutely the worst bank ever, I'm going with bank of Scotland now.
