Setting up a PCP car finance plan with Zuto is easy. They do most of the work including negotiating with the car dealer. This part of the experience is very good. However, if something goes wrong with the car you really are on your own. My engine suffered a catastrophic failure with a repair bill of £7000. Zuto nor the finance company offered any help (even though technically the car is still owned by the finance company until the last balloon payment is paid and the fault is a known weakness in this type of engine so was present at the time of purchase.) Zuto tried to refute the findings of the independent engine inspection report I had completed, blaming me for lack of maintenance causing the oil pump to fail, then when I corrected them with the evidence, I was told by Zuto that my independent engine report was actually insufficent and they told me that I needed to get a different type of report completed (at my further cost). So, I do not own the car, the engine repair bill is mine to bear and neither Zuto nor the finance company are prepared to do anything about it. Thanks! Reviewed on: 14th April 2026

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH ZUTO A COMPLETE D...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH ZUTO – A COMPLETE DISASTER! I was approved by Zuto to buy a car on Saturday, 14/03/26. Everything was signed, verified, and confirmed all my documents, licence, proof, and agreement fully completed. I even paid a £100 deposit to take the car off the market. They asked if I wanted the funds sent early to the dealership, I said yes. They asked if I could collect the car on Tuesday the 17th, again I said yes. Everything seemed perfect — smooth process, easy communication… until Tuesday came. Over the weekend, I had already cancelled my insurance on the old car to use the NCB, purchased a new policy, and even bought some expensive upgrades for the new one. I drove 115 miles to the dealership, checked the car thoroughly, and was 100% happy, the dealer himself was brilliant, honest, and super patient. Then the nightmare began. The dealer hadn’t received the funds. I called Zuto, they told me their IT department was down but not to worry. Three hours later, they finally called back to say: “Sorry, due to IT issues, we’ve had to decline your application.” Just like that. After full approval, signed documents, verified ID, and days of preparation! They left me stranded, embarrassed, and completely out of pocket. Who’s paying for my fuel, my wasted time, my insurance changes, my 230-mile trip, and all the parts I bought for the car that I can’t even have now? Nobody. Just a weak "Sorry for the inconvenience.” This experience was beyond frustrating — it was infuriating, irresponsible, and unprofessional. If I could give zero stars, I would. WARNING TO OTHERS: Don’t trust Zuto’s “approval” until the money has actually reached the dealer. Their system failed me completely, and their so-called IT issue cost me hundreds of pounds and an entire weekend of stress. NEVER AGAIN WITH ZUTO. Reviewed on: 18th March 2026

Being disabled and on a low income I was really struggling to find an affordable option for a second hand car - Zuto and their very friendly customer service team completely took all the anxiety out of the situation; they did all the 'running-around' for me, finding an affordable deal for a fantastic car for me without using any pushy sales tactics.
