WARNING TO ANYONE BUYING A CAR THROUGH ZUTO & AUTOLE...

WARNING TO ANYONE BUYING A CAR THROUGH ZUTO & AUTOLEND / LENDABLE I am writing this publicly because both Zuto (the broker) and AutoLend / Lendable Ltd (the finance lender) have formally REFUSED our legal right to reject a faulty vehicle, despite overwhelming evidence that the car is unfit for purpose and unroadworthy. We have now been stuck without a vehicle for 3 MONTHS while still being forced to pay monthly finance installments for a car sitting unusable in a yard. Here are the facts that neither Zuto nor AutoLend want the public to see: 1. The Law: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Credit Act 1974, the finance company is legally responsible for the quality of the car. You cannot sell someone a vehicle that breaks down and wash your hands of it. 2. The Evidence: We provided full evidence, diagnostic reports, and proof of failure. Yet both Zuto and AutoLend have dragged their feet and ultimately refused our rejection. 3. The Human Impact: I am currently in a high-risk pregnancy. Because Zuto and AutoLend refuse to resolve this dispute or cancel the agreement, we have been left completely stranded. Just two weeks ago, I was forced to navigate multiple trains and taxis from Banbury to Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital for an urgent fetal heart scan for our baby—a journey that should have been a simple drive. To leave a heavily pregnant woman and her family with no working car, damaged credit, and 3 months of severe stress while continuing to take our money is disgraceful. We have officially escalated our case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) for emergency priority escalation due to severe vulnerability and material detriment. I have never, ever dealt with a worst company than Zuto. They lead you up the garden path by saying that you have been approved, even providing a screenshot of the approval. Then make you take a day off work to travel over 100 miles each way to test drive the car, then take another day off to collect the car, but they didn’t happen. The reason it didn’t happen was due to the fact, the so called approval and acceptance they claimed they had was not true. So basically Daniel the sales person lied, yes blatantly lied. What he has done is immoral, illegal, without care, I don’t know how else to put it. Im taking legal action against Zuto for my costs incurred so far, and I will not let then get away with this ill treatment and disrespect for customers. Reviewed on: 21st April 2026

If the car breaks, you're on your own

Setting up a PCP car finance plan with Zuto is easy. They do most of the work including negotiating with the car dealer. This part of the experience is very good. However, if something goes wrong with the car you really are on your own. My engine suffered a catastrophic failure with a repair bill of £7000. Zuto nor the finance company offered any help (even though technically the car is still owned by the finance company until the last balloon payment is paid and the fault is a known weakness in this type of engine so was present at the time of purchase.) Zuto tried to refute the findings of the independent engine inspection report I had completed, blaming me for lack of maintenance causing the oil pump to fail, then when I corrected them with the evidence, I was told by Zuto that my independent engine report was actually insufficent and they told me that I needed to get a different type of report completed (at my further cost). So, I do not own the car, the engine repair bill is mine to bear and neither Zuto nor the finance company are prepared to do anything about it. Thanks! Reviewed on: 14th April 2026
