CON ARTIST BEWARE!!!

Hi I’ve been a customer with 1stcentral, I had an accident about 2 months ago they told me my car was a right off so I scrapped it, then they tell you they could fix it once it’s been scrapped, do not take insurance with this company they are all con artists, they take your money offer you high prices for insurance then find ways not to pay you out, customer service is also a disgrace, DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE WITH THIS COMPANY, I’ll be contacting the papers to let everyone no not to get coned of this company. Absolutely bloody awful, I’d rather risk public transport than ever deal with this bloody company again. Shocking and EXTREMELY RUDE customer service. I was off sick after a major operation, called to get some advice and was met with “well if you can’t afford the insurance perhaps you should return to work” most disgusting service I have ever received. Went online to check my policy and it said paid in full, got an email a week later to say it wasn’t paid, hit with a late fee and expected to pay it. Don’t ever use this company. Run a mile. Also changed my address from a PUBLIC car park to a PRIVATE driveway and they put up my insurance because it was “MORE DANGEROUS” actual jokers. Reviewed on: 29th May 2019

Bad experience

Hi there, I had very bad experience. Due to some personal reasons, I decided to cancel my car insurance after 31 days. I have been charged £50 for set up fee plus £50 for cancellation fee. They charged me total £100 for cancellation fee, it is double i expected. . Also they charged maximum interest from my first instalment, i mean they charged about £14 on £33, it was about 30% total interest of 11 instalments . Customer service was also very rude and not helping. My call was placed on hold or drop when I requested to transfer my call to manager or senior customer adviser. Very bad experience. STAY AWAY- INCOMPETENT AND JUST SEEM TO WANT TO RIP YOU OFF

As soon as I needed to make a change things started to go wrong. Wanted to charge me almost double for changing to a slightly older less powerful car, clearly no more risk than the other. I took up a new policy with them again and got a better deal so accepted the cancellation fee for the old one as I had little choice. Since beginning the new policy, they have sent me email after email demanding documents which I kept sending over and over (Proof Of No Claims, (which had been with them anyway) proof of address, driving licence) accusing me of some kind of fraud.This has gone on for 3 weeks now. I must have sent the same things 10 times each, each time I just get threatening automated emails saying they will cancel my policy and charge £75 for doing so . I feel like they try and find things or leave things hanging so they can charge you the fees. They seem to be all about the fees, which is why perhaps their initial premium quote is the cheapest online. I still haven't resolved this with them and to be honest feel so stressed about it all. 1st Central is a disaster not an insurance company. Unlike the other reviewers I had to deal with this company regarding an actual problem. Liars and deceivers. Using clauses against you that are nowhere to be found in your policy. If they don't want to deal with you anymore, their are allowed to block your number for no reason, so that you can't call them again. And there is no other mean of contacting them. I filed a complaint - even that's been ignored. This company is a disaster, never again. Wouldn't recommend 1st central to my worst enemy. If you are thinking of buying their insurance, don't, for your own sake. It's like standing in front of a thief and voluntarily giving him a big sum of money. He will not only steal your money but he will also beat you up and run away with no consequences - that's how I was treated. Reviewed on: 17th January 2019
