6 month fixed account

Opened a 6 month fixed account with them, very quick and easy and a good rate of interest. Its a bit annoying that at the end of the term i had to log on online rather than do everything through the app, but the process feels very secure through clear and easy teo factor authentication. Easy to arrange fixed term investment

Penny pinching cheapskates AVOID

I noticed on the day that my fixed term deposit matured that Allica were offering a higher rate to new depositors than I was being offered for extending the term of my existing investment. When I contacted them and asked them to honor the new rate on my funds, they refused telling me that I should have contacted them before the day of maturity, they also refused to allow me to withdraw my funds.. With all of the many other banks that I have dealt with the policy is to pass on any increase in rates during the period that reinvestment instructions have been given and maturity date, not so here. Consequently I am more than £150 out of pocket and looking forward to moving my money away from these thieves at the earliest opportunity. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2024
