Opening an Account - Don't waste your life away

Do not try and open a Business Account with this bank unless you want to waste weeks of your life. It appears even more difficult if you are already a personal customer of the bank. I have nothing to say about the last 6 weeks I have spent opening a business account which I am still unable to access. Truly amazing that this bank has a single customer. Consistently Atrocious service. Shouldnt be allowed to operate as a bank

I have been a customer of this outfit for several years. If switching wasn’t so disruptive I’d have moved a long time ago Over the last two years they have locked me out of my account three times - all cases due to automated systems cancelling debit cards or access cards with no warning or explanation Getting through their automated phone system takes an average of 30 minutes and then the system frequently connects to the wrong department When finally connected to the ‘right’ person, invariably that person is unhelpful or actively misleading Frankly I don’t have a good word to say for this bank - they are not a business level service In submitting a complaint one receives a formulaic ‘we are very sorry’ letter. It’s derisory and probably set up to comply with some feeble regulatory requirement I don’t have a single good thing to say about them and strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere describing this service as a ‘business bank’ is wholly inaccurate Reviewed on: 9th February 2023

Wrong information online banking joke

I wouldn't recommend bank of scotland at all there information is wrong I have been trying to setup online banking for my business account and they have no clue what there doing they sent me to local branch no help and still no internet banking I know this looks like a rant but I would seriously think twice before using this bank for business or personal there's better banks with better reviews and I'm seriously thinking of moving my accounts they have caused me nothing but hassle and time off I didn't need to take very poor service and customer service bank of Scotland Reviewed on: 20th July 2022

Corporate Online is hard going

Not the best software. Hard to use. Far toooo complicated, e.g. running off a statement. Importing BACS was sometimes torture and I had to devise a workaround to get individual 1:1 stmt entries on the bank stmt if we uploaded 2+ BACS csv files. The software only want to show one single debit on the bank stmt even if we were paying 20 suppliers that day! Reviewed on: 4th July 2022
