Great APR% rates for good credit customers.

Shocking company

This company is a joke! I purchased a vehicle using their automated settlement figure on my old vehicle but when it come to actually purchasing the finance etc 2 days later they sent an incorrect settlement figure to the one we got off the automated line. They stated as the payment we made at the beginning of the month did register with the automated system but not with them to send out the confirmation amount even though they could see my payment!!. They stated I needed to pay the extra 200.00 and then they will refund me. Ridiculous I know but I put this on my car finance reluctantly (so I'm also paying APR) and placed a complaint as I they basically asked me to pay them deouble for me to then be refunded Reviewed on: 15th May 2019

In the blink of an eye!

Originally applied for an AA loan but then discovered the very long time frame it takes to actually get the money. On the off chance I went on my Barclays app to see what they would offer me - the APR was slightly more but only just 4 steps on the app, a few clicks and around 2 minutes of my time - I was approved, signing my document and clicking confirm. As it took me back to the main app screen showing my accounts - the loan was there. I couldn't believe my eyes! Reviewed on: 3rd April 2019

Customer Service Lessons

The other day we applied for a loan, and since we had very little time and a dream to make, we called Barclays instead of visiting in-branch. I spoke to a chap so lovely and helpful, I wanted to do something about how well he did. There was no attempt on his side to get a reference or do a questionnaire about customer service... Nothing! All it was, was someone who had our best interest at heart, who were aware of our circumstances and as a partner in our family's future, did their bit!!!! Barclays exceed all expectations for me!

I've had a Barclays Bank account for a number of years now. Having had over my lifetime a Lloyds Tsb account, RBS and also Halifax and First Direct. My favourite by far are Barclays. I actually have a lot to thank them for because after a very messy costly divorce I was left in financial dire straits and just just about get a basic account with them. However, over the years, having seen how my account has been run, they trusted me by offering me a personal loan. This was my first step back up trying to repair my (by now) awful credit history. I'd gone from a home owner to feeling like an absolute leper when Lloyds bank would not even allow me a bank card that would access another link machine, plus it was this horrid green colour that everyone recognised as being a card when you had poor credit. Barclays changed that from the off by allowing me to have a personalised card and accessing other cash machines right away. You'll never know how much that little bit of difference made to my life in terms of not feeling marginalised. Anyway back to the now, I'm on my second personal loan and my credit is back up where it pretty much was 15 years ago. I can only thank Barclays for helping me to feel human in a time when I was very low in my life. It's the smallest thing sometimes that goes the longest way. Cheers! Reviewed on: 22nd January 2019
