Poor

I tried to apply for a loan at Barclays and they declined me straight away and said my credit wasn't good as they said I had none but got told I would be accepted from a advisor I spoke to but the advisor that called me was lovely I can give them that as they do have one of the best customer services going and that's always they key!!! Superb rate loan

Taking out a loan as an existing barclays customer is simple, fair and gets you really good interest rates. The application can be done online, and you can even find out if you're likely to be accepted for one before you proceed through online banking. Excellent product and service! Customer services usless

Barclays insisted that I took a loan out in 2004. This being a loan from another company that they took over (Goldfish). They have consistently ignored my attempts to prove my innocence. When It comes down to communication, Barclays customer services wait 6 years then hound you for something you have no knowledge of. Reviewed on: 13th July 2016

Excellent, supportive bank

I've banked with barclays since the age of 11, so more than 20 years now. Throughout that time, I've had some problems and some really good times, and this bank has supported me and helped wherever possible, regardless of the circumstances. Friendly and understandable

On purchasing a loan for furniture with Barclays I was provided with clear, concise information for the whole of my agreement. Contacting customer service was very easy and staff members I spoke to were friednly and efficient with my queries Reviewed on: 24th May 2016

Could have been better.

Took an M&S loan, Barclays did not make it clear that it was not only their product they were recommending. M&S saw that that I had paid off their loan before and were prepared to lend to me again, Barclays weren't, regardless of the fact my bank account is with them and also that I have a credit card with them. very easy and quick

Keep the Barclays account and take the M&s loan. Barclays or anybody else don't have to lend to you - the fact that you had another company's card rather than Barclaycard may have gone against you. M&s saw that you had paid off their card and were prepared to lend to you again. Barclays may not have had that option. Reviewed on: 8th April 2015

Efficient from start to end
