Fair return and inspiring impact

Ever since I opened my Ecology Building Society savings account I have been impressed. They have continued to give me a fair return on my savings with their 90 Day Notice account at time of unprecedented low savings rates, rewarding me for my customer loyalty and, through their tiered interest rates, for the value of my savings. My experience of their customer service has also been very good from the get go. I love being able to support lending to eco-build and retrofit projects through my savings and am inspired by the stories I read about the Building Society's mortgage customers. It's also great to see the social equity and cohesion fostered through their projects. The communications I receive are very engaging - it's very rare for me to read bank and building society reports but I read theirs! I hope that the Ecology Building Society continues to grow so that it's postive impact can be even bigger. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

Efficient & helpful

Ethical and friendly

I have saved (very little initially) with the Ecology for many years and have always been delighted to be kept up to date with amazing projects they support. I choose them because of how they use money and what they support. I am not interested in my financial return but in what positive environmental steps can be taken. Reviewed on: 7th April 2021

They use my money for what I want borrowers to use it for.

I have been a member of Ecology Building Society for over 10 years. Since the beginning, I have been impressed by their pioneering work to support eco-friendly building projects and investments. They keep their members fully informed whilst using a minimum of paper and maintaining full confidentiality. I have enjoyed being able to trust their handling of my savings, while finding out about sustainable living projects that their members have been able to achieve with the help of Ecology.
