Proud to have been one of the first investors in 1981

I was one of the first investors in the Ecology Building Society in 1981, and have been a saver ever since. The Society has grown, but the staff are as ready to engage as they were when I was a Foundation Share Holder. The AGMs are always a highlight with guest speakers and reinforce how much good the Ecology does to improve and finance interesting community and private developments. Reviewed on: 1st October 2024

An excellent provider!

I have had savings with the Ecology for many years now. Not only do they provide excellent customer service, the business is rooted in what is needed by customers and non-customers alike; the planet as a whole benefits from the way that The Ecology conduct business. Changing the worl one pound at a time

We have been with the Ecology Building Society for nearly two decades as it offer very personal and tailored advice and support on savings and mortgages that do not cost the earth. Reliable, accountable approachable and green

I have had an ISA with the Ecology Building Society for many years and I would recommend them because I feel they are doing honest things with my money. Their values accord with mine and the newsletter and conference (I have been once) create inspiration and transparency. They are not too big that it feels corporate and they are trustworthy. Ethical investments in the north!

I was looking for an ethical way to save with easy online access, preferably one supporting worthwhile causes in the north. Although applications (for new members) are still in hard copy, once this well-explained process is completed, online access is easy. The application was straight-forward, the account information is easy to read and understand, and, notwithstanding Covid complications which delayed things slightly, the account was opened without undue delay. Banking for people and planet

I am highly satisfied with the Ecology Building Society, because the staff proivdes excellent advice and guidance, my money is invested to benefit people and planet, the society is completely transparent about its business and there is a pay ratio between the highest and lowest paid employee of only 5:1 which is exemplary for other building societies and banks.
