Great Interest Rates

Since opening my First Direct current account, I have also taken advantage of their regular saver account. This is really easy to set up and can all be done online when signed in for online banking. You then set up a standing order from your current account for between £25 and £300 to be transferred into the regular saver on a date of your choosing. This is great, as you can set up for the money to be transferred on payday, making it really easy to save. The best part of the account is the interest rate, which is 6% for the regular saver. This is one of the best in the market. It is paid at the end of 12 months of saving. The only draw back of the account is that you must commit for 12 months of saving, and if you access your money before that you don't get paid the interest. If you are saving some something specific long term, or just want to make sure you have a savings pot, I would highly recommend this account, as you'd be hard pushed to find a better interest rate at the moment. Happy Customer

I take part in banking bribes but have stopped simply because having had a First Direct account many years ago, I actually found them efficient, offering the best interest accounts and more as against the banks that I regularly moved to. I’m staying with them now until such time I feel it’s time to move, but I don’t think that will ever happen. Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025

Brilliant regular saver - 7% and very flexible

Brilliant regular saver - 7% APR which is great and option to save up to £300 per month with flexibility to change payments. So easy to set up and use on the App, very straightforward. Wish I had done this sooner! Reviewed on: 16th March 2025

Easy set up for great interest.

So easy to set up, including the current account if you don't have one already. Transferring money over was easy and seamless, I know when I need to wire over for each months transfer and look forward tonseeing the interest at the end of the year! Reviewed on: 27th February 2025
