fast in taking your money try getting it back

my wife was insured with them and cancelled it on the 27/6/2020 the said they paid the money into my bank account but its been closed since 3/3/2020. but kept saying it saying my bank was wrong they can pay into account when closed. so now 5/08/2020 told them my bank is sending bank statement for all my accounts and a letter saying no money has ever been paid by them in my bank. but they keep refusing to pay the money saying its been paid so they are more likely calling me and the bank lairs in a around about way. they are the worst iv had to ever deal with in my life and am 64 and they still refused to pay the money back . if you pay them money try and get it back you will be lucky am still waiting 7 weeks Reviewed on: 6th August 2020

WHATEVER you do stay away from this company.... They have detrimentally caused extreme stress with their lack of good customer service. Complaint taken to the ombusman who found completely in our favour, yet told by Ombusman to rectify their mistake they STILL drag their feet, Jasmine the complaint handler is incompetent just like the sham of a business! Please save yourself the grief of dealing with such an awful company such as this!!!!!! If I could have given no star I would have that what I think of this company! Reviewed on: 18th July 2020

Total car insurance rip off

I have been driving for over 25 years and have never experienced a more money grabbing and incompetent car insurer than Go skippy. My son's car insurance was due for renewal and Go skippy was one of the cheaper insurers on Go Compare without a black box. The first instalment was paid and then the emails started requesting a multitude of information one being the proof of no claims. The previous insurer Admiral sent an email to confirm and this was forwarded to GoSkippy. We heard nothing until an email was sent saying the policy would be cancelled as the relevant documents had not been provided. A phone call was made to GoSkippy call centre in South Africa and they wanted an actual letter on headed paper from the previous insurer and wanted it attached to an email. Admiral had no issue doing this but explained it is not usual practice as the email was enough. Also Go skippy only gave us three days to present the letter which was totally unacceptable. As soon as Admiral provided the letter it was forwarded to Go skippy and a follow up call was made. My son was then told that there was a discrepancy with the length of his no claims as they had three years recorded and the letter was for one year. My son explained that this must be a mistake and could they not recalculate the premium payments. Go skippy said no and only offered a cancellation my, son had not been insured for even a month and they wanted to charge over £300! When he asked what this was actually for she could not say, when he asked to speak with a manager she said there was no manager to speak to. She was rude, unhelpful and obnoxious. My son basically said he had no choice but to cancel and felt almost black mailed, whilst on the phone he completed another quote with the one year no claims and strangely Go skippy came up again as the cheapest! But they still refused to insure him over the phone. My son requested a break down of the costs and to date all he has received is a demanding payment letter. He is now insured with another insurer, however I have noticed that they use the same finance company! So be aware as I think a lot of these insurers use the same underwriters and finance companies. Has anyone been successful in reporting Go skippy to FCA/ombudsmen? As reading all of these reviews Go skippy need to be closed down!! Reviewed on: 4th April 2020

Worst decision ever!

The worst decision I ever made was signing up with this company! I did a price comparison on moneysupermarket and GoSkippy offered the "cheapest" quote. I was very happy and signed on. Many months later, i was forced to cancel the insurance because i could not pay the premium due to the loss of my job. The premium was £123. GoSkippy responded by slamming me with a £219.28 fee for cancellation et cetera. As if that was not bad enough, my new insurers called to confirm my NCB with GoSkippy and they were told to do a proper check on me and other information regarding me was divulged which my new insurers did not ask for. It was like a very bitter ex trying to get back at you. To crown it all, i have been receiving numerous emails and letters from GoSkippy threatening to hand over the debt of £219.38 to the Insurance Collection Bureau and a default will be registered against my credit file. I am dumbfounded to say the least. Never again! UPDATE: I have just been on the phone with an Agent at GoSkippy. Plans have been made to pay off the £219.38. I politely asked that GoSkippy stop sending threatening letters and emails to me. The agent i spoke to blatantly told me, while trying unsucessfully to stifle her laughter, that they can not stop sending the letters. I guess i am a joke then? Reviewed on: 9th February 2020

I wish there was 0 star but unfortunately I have to select one to write the review, I purchased car insurance by monthly payment, and I have to change the car as my car was broke down, when I tried to upgrade the vehicle reg, the customer service was absolutely disgusting and awful, I have already been charged extra in advance but when I tried to cancel it in middle of the month they charged me £220 extra and started black mailing me by sending me letters that if you refuse to pay this amount we will take you to the court this and that, which is totally piece of shit , I will highly not to recommend this company to anyone ***please don not get rubbed by this corner grocery shop** Reviewed on: 26th January 2020

The worst company ever. They will let you insure Online with them . After word they will start asking you for other documents that you can’t provide. Also they will Keep searching to find one excuse to cancel your policy after they charge you the admin fees and full month install. Be Aware. Reviewed on: 16th January 2020
