Useless bank

HSBC Bloody useless bank! Been waiting nearly 12 weeks for bounce back loan, chased sign-off docs, signed them three weeks ago, was told money would be in account within 48 hours, still nothing! AND that is after chasing it up upteen times, Bank Manager been on the case for last week, he's getting no-where, apparently. Anyone thinking of joining this bank should think twice, as I know lots of people leaving it! I have been with the bank for 35 years, when it was Midland Bank, since becoming HSBC, it has slowly gone down hill to an incompetent mess! Reviewed on: 10th August 2020

Terrible Likely to collapse

I moved all my money out today. Trying to pay online bills but taking longer than the 10minutes expiry to receive a one-time-passcode . Telephone support wanted to issue a 'passcode by post within 7 days'. I have had a series of terrible customer service interactions & I am now giving up and moving banks. Charges free banking for community account

HSBC have never charged for a Community Account held with them for over 20 years. Have had no problems using internet banking and cashier services. Reviewed on: 30th June 2020

Useless bank

It has taken thee and half weeks for me to be able to get back on business banking and that is not good enough because these idiots can’t work out my signature and no the complaint has not worked out to the point I’ve now open up with Barclays Bank well done Hsbc Reviewed on: 9th June 2020

HSBC is just that useless Hsbc has made me go in to that bank on more than one occasion which is not acceptable cause these dum people can’t sort stuff out , now I reserve the right to sue Hsbs for £100.000 if I come down with the corona virus and if I die because of this I reserve the right for my partner to sue Hsbc for £1000.000 this is not acceptable by any standard and this problem will not go away Hsbc never again Reviewed on: 4th June 2020

Poor service and complex processes

As HSBC premier personal account holder I decided to go with HSBC business account. Regret it. Very difficult process from the beginning. Near impossible to get to the the staff. Internet banking some times does not work. Already thinking of leaving. Reviewed on: 20th April 2020

Appallingly incompetent

Disgraceful service, lost certified documents that had been provided as part of a 10 year safeguarding review, then attempted to shut down my account and froze all my money while doing so. Told me it would take 5 days to even accept a complaint to get money back. Staff deeply unhelpful. Many days wasted on the phone and going into the branch and after reassurances the issue had been dealt with and it was their mistake, they restarted the whole thing 4 months later and attempted to shut down the account again. Avoid this bank and do yourself and your business a favour. Reviewed on: 17th January 2020
