Review of the Lloyds Bank, Car Insurance:

Consistently terrible

They have been consistently terrible, my car was hit on the 31st of January and as of today (29 March) they have taken the courtesy car away from me a month ago (2nd March) and have not paid me a penny they agreed a figure and then decided that their independent assessor was wrong after agreeing it with me. I have now been told that after 8 weeks they will give me an answer in 4 weeks as to what is happening (so 12 weeks to get an answer), no returned calls and cannot be bothered that I do not have a car or the money to replace it. Terrible company that is a front for BISL Ltd and Covea insurance, just corrupt and they could care less about you as a customer. So my next attempt is a 14 day letter and then of too County Court let the judge decide. Reviewed on: 1st April 2022

Had several quotes for my car insurance. charged a more expensive price than my policy stated. Spoke on phone , what a surprise , agent couldn't load the relevant price page but said he would arrange a "goodwill gesture" for the extra charged. I am a pensioner , maybe they just thought this old fart wouldn't notice. How wrong they were. check your policy details carefully. Reviewed on: 18th January 2018

Absolutely appalling customer service, steer clear of Lloyds

Incredibly long-winded process to register claim, they were more interested in getting me to start a personal injury claim. Each time I call, the person I speak to can't take responsibility for my query, has to transfer me elsewhere - this has included putting me through to completely different companies like the RAC! When you've had a car accident, the last thing you need is to be handed from pillar to post, backwards and forwards between Lloyds and their underwriters. It's been a terrible experience. I'm very disappointed and won't ever use Lloyds for anything again. Reviewed on: 30th November 2017

First Time Drivers Be Careful

Website tracking is always an issue and I believe that I was caught out when I first signed to be with Lloyds as a car insurer. My prices were raised and even though I was not the main driver on my car due to it being shared with a long time driver it was still very pricey. The coverage of the insurance itself is good and of course for safety it is best to pay that bit extra but when it came to renewing the price didn't change at all and so I will be looking for new insurance very soon. Complete Rip Off

Had Lloyds Bank Insurance for my Audi, received an email telling me that the policy had auto-renewed, rang them to say I wasn't happy, especially with the amount that they were charging, suddenly the policy cost was cut nearly in half. I also explained that I was selling the car, I did this within 20 days of the policy renewal, I then only got back 45% of the policy amount with the excessive charges, non-refundable add-ons. Will never be using BISL or Lloyds ever again!!!! Reviewed on: 16th August 2017

Worst car insurance I have ever had

never insure your car with Lloyds Bank Car Insurance and if you don't use your debit card, they offer cheap insurance at the beginning and then they increase the price half way through the insurance and take the money automatically from your debit card. Reviewed on: 2nd August 2017
