Terrible cheating company

Recently renewed my policy through Lloyds and about 2 weeks later received a letter informing my premium was being increased as I had failed to disclose a claim in October 2019 (though at that time I had insurance through Lloyds - why they cannot simply look at their own records is beyond me) - this is an excuse to cheat people out of money. Shocking cutomer service

My father has mixed dementia, and had to quit driving in March 2019. He forgot to cancel his car insurance. In January 2020 Lloyd’s automatically renewed it. That is how it’s supposed to work. I found the renewal letter. So I phoned them up to cancel, and the chap on the phone was initially unwilling (company policy) to deal with me, so I put my father on the phone. 30 seconds later and the chap on the phone had a 180 degree attitude change, From ‘company policy’ to ‘human and very helpful.’ He issued a full refund, and also said I could reclaim last years premium on behalf of my father if I sent in documentation proving the time of diagnosis and sale of the car. ‘What goes around comes around’ he said. Brilliant service

3 years after cancelling my car insurance, due to leaving the UK, I received an email saying my refund had not gone into my account!! I phoned their customer service number where I spoke to an extremely helpful girl, who not only organised a cheque for the refund but also informed me there would be interest added due to the length of time since the refund was due. The girl was helpful, polite and extremely efficient. Credit to Lloyds for recognising the refund not getting to my account 3 years ago!! Reviewed on: 6th August 2019

ABSOLUTELY USELESS. CHASED ME FOR 25 POUNDS VIA DEBT COLLECTION. TOLD THEM I DIDNT OWE IT BUT THEY ATE F USELESS> DO YOURSELVES AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS. OR IT WILL COST YOU. ALL CROOKS AND SCAMMERS AVOID AVOID AVOID YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - Reviewed on: 9th May 2019

Dont even think about this product

Without a single second thought I would strongly advise, run in the direction of any other supplier! We have been miss advised non stop for 3 weeks and still waiting for the repairs to be estimated. We were even told the £45k care was a write off then phoned literally 10 mins later to be advised that was a mistake! This insurer is king of the outsourcing world absolutely incompetent- you have been warned. Reviewed on: 12th April 2019

Absolutely Rubbish Customer Services, I have a very high quote for a new car that's the same, but to cancel mid term they want another £120 just to cancel, when you call Customer Services, you can get put on hold for up to an hour, and still end up with useless information, I would never recommend LLoyds again, next step change Bank. been wait for 4 day for Customer Services to call me. Excellent communication

Bought through go compare, I have received a couple of helpful texts sending me phone numbers to use in case of an accident and windscreen damage. No need for proof of NCD and much cheaper than my renewal quote with Saga even with add-ons. Reviewed on: 6th February 2019
