HOME INSURANCE DOUBLES.

My home insurance renewal was £680 last year, my renewal had just come through at £1,220!!! I have never had a claim. I will never use LV again and will also change my car insurance for another company out of principle. LV obviously don’t want the business. Reviewed on: 20th February 2024

LVdoes not value existing customers

Home insurance quote increased by 33% by LV. LV increased my home building and content quote by 33% despite no claims being made. Online comparison site offered an equivalent quote gir £225 which is ehat LV quoted last year. Clearly LV do not want loyal customers snd offer cheaper deals only to new ones. I won't be using LV in the future. I also will not renew my car insurance with them until they rmvakye existing customers as much as they do new ones Reviewed on: 5th October 2023

Almost doubled

My policy went up from £210 to £360 even with buildings only it was £310 gone with someone else for £155 your loss LV Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

Very disappointed

Had to wait 9 months for them to sort out my claim denied my claim twice although I was clearly covered.If it wasn't for my persistence and going to the complaint department and getting the ombudsman involved i wouldn't of had my claim agreed..very unprofessional and incompetent... So disappointed. Shame on you!

I have been with this company for 30years and only one claim 18yrs ago. They've never messed me about with hiked up fees before. My renewal quote this year was 33% higher. Was told it was non-negotiable and then rude person told me my situation must have changed. NO it has not, rude lady. Gone elsewhere, same cover for half the price. Everything fine, easy to purchase and deal with

Horrendous tradesman and horrendous communication

I had a severe leak that appeared suddenly in the night They sent a guy out in a 1 hour window he chose in a down pour He said it’s to wet to go on the roof I’ll see what au can di in the loft He can back after 10 mins and said I’ve patched it up and it’s ok He then left Immediately it started to rain in again and now in 4 more places I rang back and it took them : days and 12 calls to get him back This time he was In the house for 3 mins And he spent 1 minute arguing that he wasn’t rude and threatening He threatens me after I said let’s look in the loft As he bizarrely claimed he was leaving as the leak was impossible He then put a report claiming he wa here for hours and had been shouting at him All on cctv entering and leaving with 3 mins So far they have nothing This thug should not be in people houses My roof is still leaking nearly a week later with thousands of pounds of damage that he is responsible for Reviewed on: 30th August 2023
