I’ve been with Marshmallow Insurance for over 3 years, never made a claim, and always kept my MOT up to date. However, after I was involved in a car accident, they completely failed me. After reporting the accident, it took them 15 days to provide me with an engineer’s report, and when I asked for the full report to understand what happened, they refused to give it to me. Instead, they just told me the issue was my tyres. Once my policy was cancelled, they provided no support whatsoever. I had no idea where my car was, and they only gave me unreachable contact details for a third-party engineer. I had to spend hours calling different garages and scrap metal companies just to figure out what to do. Marshmallow left me alone, stressed, and completely unsupported in a time when I needed help most. On top of that, they refused to refund the unused portion of my premium and charged me cancellation fees. All of this while they failed to provide me with the guidance I needed to resolve the situation. If you’re thinking about going with Marshmallow for your insurance, DON’T. They may seem like a good deal at first, but when things go wrong, you’ll be left high and dry with no help. This is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Worst customer service

I recently been a customer of marshmallow and has received an automated email regarding my policy increasing by over 80% when I have no claims bonus for another year and nothing in my policy has changed. I tried to contact them regarding this and then get the most frustrating conversation of my life where I am waiting hours for replies and messages with so many smiley emojis next to them. I kept raising my complaint of how the can justify the increase in my policy of over 80% where I my question don't get answers and them just responding to verify what they can change in my policy to "lower the price" after 3 days of messages to them I have given up and decided to cancel my policy and go with another company and without any shock they can't even waive £30 cancellation fee. Worst Customer experience ever

Lousy service

Was informed that my renewal had gone through the evening before renewal due. I went on the app to try and stop it renewing at £690 rather than 350 the previous year. Went on price comparison and got it for £290 Marchmallow don't have phones only live chat and email, tried to contact them all day to no avail then received and email saying thanks for renewing! Dreadful

Nightmare experience of the worst scenario. A third party drove into my parked vehicle and it was a write off. Marshmallow gave instructions for towaway and storage, then cancelled my policy. Reason: my tax payment was days overdue without my knowledge with no notification. I was charged towaway, then billed for full years costs after only 6 months and had to buy a replacement vehicle. Fraudsters

This is a dodgy company. I paid full year payment but they refused to award 1 year no claims bonus. Demand extra money for no reasons. No customer services number to contact them. They doubled the price saying there is an active claim against my insurance policy where the car has not been involved in an accident. Marshmallow were on of the only companies to consider my clean driving history and no claims when moving from another country to England, they also as a result were able to offer me great pricing and options which I am very greatful for and always suggest them for vehicle insurance to everyone I know Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Fair(ish) price, easy enough

MARSHMALLOW CAR INSURANCE IS SICKLY & NOT SWEET

Marshmallow cancelled my insurance due to me not uploading a document after I paid a £200.00 deposit being a new customer for 19 days!!! Everything is completely online so if you enjoy typing, your internet never goes down and you have money to waste, Marshmallow is for you! The CEO'S are money grabbers! The worst car insurance ever

It is the worst insurance company in any shape or way a customer could imagine. Everything looks great until you have a claim. Then they will make sure you as a customer go through hell every day. Had an accident nearly a month ago with no third party involvement. Still no sign of any repairs done to the car. In fact the car still has not been sent to any garage. No one to call and their alleged chat system no one bothers to give you a real and proper answer. Sent several messages to their chat system 48 hours ago and I yet to get a response. Their complaint system is close to a joke as it will take 8 weeks to get back to with the outcome of your complaint. If you decide to repair your car at the garage of your choice then they will blackmail you with forcing you to pay the price difference. You choose and pay for courtesy car then it turns out you will only get it if you let them fix your car and the garage has to provide you with one and that’s only when they have your car. So 4 weeks into car been off road still no sign of a courtesy car. Insurances says one thing, their repair network says another thing. Complete disgrace. Avoid this company at any cost. Pay a little more and choose a proper company to insure and save yourself a big headache. Reviewed on: 17th August 2023
