A slight deterioration but still the best High Street bank in London

I like that the bank has much more convenient opening hours than their competitors,has free cash machines to deposit loose change and will quickly replace one's bank card immediately if the original is mislaid or disappointing that charges are now made on World wide transactions however Europe is still free. My only negative comments are that the standard of counter customer service staff has dropped a little and telephone conversations can be difficult as so many security details are needed ... a little too many I feel. Six years ago I walked in to a London branch without an appointment. Within an hour, I had opened a current account, and walked out with my personlised checkbook and debit card. Their call centres provide excellent service, and I have never been subjected to lengthy waits. Reviewed on: 15th December 2018
