Ethical banking for the people

I like this building society's ethics. Customers service is always very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the 5% cashback on spending in February, March and April. The heavy use of card ready is a bit annoying but they've been taking steps to reduce the amount of time the card reader is needed Reviewed on: 10th April 2023

Once the leader, now nothing but annoying adds

Long time customer which once had numerous accounts. Nationwide is now dead in the water and only interested in rewarding new customers and not keeping old....good luck to them, I feel they'll need it especially with the cost of those terribly annoying constant adds! Reviewed on: 11th March 2021

I loveeee nationwide, how easy it is to amend address details on the telephone, the agents on the phone are always so lovely! And the app and website is so easy to use and it is secure. False reassurance

I was advised across three channels, online, telephone and in branch in person that if my husband was added to my account as a new customer we would receive a 5% rate for 12 months from account opening. Great service

Despite the recent slashing of interest rates following the BoE’s decision to drop the base rate Nationwide provide excellent service. Whilst some accounts are online only I have still been helped thoroughly if I have gone in branch with a query. They are extremely transparent and honest in their approach which is refreshing in the banking industry. Reviewed on: 29th April 2020
