Switching to Nationwide was the best decision ever

I switched to Nationwide a few years ago after poor service from a bank I had been with for over 40 years. It was the best decision I have ever made.

they charge fees without knowing customer and they lie every where to incress customer when you ask for help they don,t help you and cost you more with charge

    Mortage.

    Mortage. I had a mortage from Nationwide. It was good. i just wish the interest rates were lower.

    Card stolen - no sympathy

    My Nationwide credit card was stolen from me as I was boarding a tram by two females who apparently been watching me buy the tickets... My Nationwide credit card was stolen from me as I was boarding a tram by two females who apparently been watching me buy the tickets with the card. Contactless pad had been broken so had to enter pin which they obviously took a note of as they were in the queue behind me. As I boarded the tram I was jostled and pushed during which I was robbed of my wallet - also containing other cards and ID. As the tram pulled out of the station both jump off as the door was closing. One got her arm caught in the closing door and was pulled free on the platform by her accomplice. I immediately cancelled my other cards on the banking app but had no option other than ring the lost / stolen telephone number for the select credit card. It took in the region of 15 minutes on the phone to get to speak someone who could actually freeze the card and take my report that I had been robbed. As a consequence the offenders were able to withdraw €300 in cash on the card (I was in France at the time). As instructed by nationwide the incident was immediately reported to the local police in person and the crime report number passed immediately to the lost stolen help line. This incident occurred 10 days ago and the credit card fraud team persistently have refused to inform me what is happening as the fraudulent transaction is still showing on my account. Ironically when you call the pre recorded messages ask if you are ok and can they can help in any way but even being a 72 year old pensioner with a number of medical problems they still think I could have done more to prevent this incident.
