AVOID THEM

Very disappointing experience Unfortunately, my experience with this company was extremely disappointing. I felt that communication was poor throughout the process, and I did not feel that the information I provided was properly reviewed or dealt with in a timely manner. I also experienced delays in receiving responses to my emails and found myself having to make repeated phone calls to try to get updates and progress matters. In my experience, these issues contributed to my house sale falling through, which was extremely stressful and upsetting. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again. If you are relying on clear communication and timely responses during a house move or purchase, I would recommend carefully considering your options before instructing them. My dealings with Nationwide were very disappointing

My dealings with Nationwide were disappointing and they offered poor value with what I felt were rather uninterested bank (building society) representatives. Surprising given their recent statements about being 'different' etc. By contract easier to do business with the old banks like Natwest and HSBC or not doubt even 'Revolut' (!). Not my favourite mortgage.

I have a nationwide mortgage. On enquiring with them about working from home. They made it so difficult. Write a letter. Deliver it to branch. Get no reply. Send another. They reply no, without even finding out additional information. Very unhelpful when people need to work. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Great rate for getting on property ladder!

I took a mortgage with Nationwide and got a good rate for seven years and I'm still so happy I made this decision and was able to get on the property ladder when other banks don't even come close to offering the same level of help. Reviewed on: 25th January 2026
