You can get an interest-free arranged overdraft for up to £1,000 in year one and up to £3,000 by year three. Nationwide don’t charge fees for using your debit card abroad and you can manage your money in Nationwide’s highly rated app.

Good customer service

The best account from the best company

Great comprehensive account, ability to increase overdraft each year. Interest free. This account has gotten me through my 3 year degree in financial difficulty, in addition to my other nationwide accounts over 20 years. Reviewed on: 24th May 2024

Great overdraft facility.

Great overdraft facility. The max spend and graduate card gives you loads of time to pay off slowly and without interest. This allowed me to enjoy myself at university and after whilst not paying endless fees. Highly recommend to all students. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Really good student account

When I opened the FlexStudent, I was gifted a box of goodies which instantly made me excited. Over the last few years nationwide have been excellent, the arranged overdraft is excellent for emergencies and unexpected costs one has to pay for as a student. I have also had brilliant service both instore and via telephone, cannot recommend enough and so glad I chose nationwide for my student account. Reviewed on: 6th March 2024
