Mortgage Application under review after almost 2 months

Mortgage application: April 10th 2024 Valuation conducted on April 22nd 2024 Date of this review: June 5th 2024 Status: Unknown Ref number: M629280331 Number of days wasted: 56 days Nationwide plays with customers they think that applying for a mortgage is a joke. Customer service is highly incompetent and refuse to be engaged with my questions by just providing generic explanations. Seller is about to withdraw from transaction because of the delay. Drop in face to face bank in capital city.

Unfortunately discovered when renewing my mortgage this year and looked to discuss moving that I cannot speak to anyone in branch this had to be done on the phone which has resulted in my considering an alternative mortgage provider. Reviewed on: 8th April 2024

Best deal on our mortgage.

I currently have my mortgage with Nationwide, and have just renewed with them, as their deal was still the best. I’ve also had current and savings accounts with Nationwide, and always found them to have excellent customer service, whenever I’ve needed them - e.g. when I had to report some suspected fraudulent activity on my account, they were very responsive and extremely helpful. I also love being with a building society, rather than a bank, as they’re much more ethical. Reviewed on: 20th March 2024

Renewing my mortgage was simple and hassle free

I thought having to renew my mortgage was going to be a real hassle but Nationwide made sure it was a simple, stress-free process. They provided lots of options which ensured I could choose what worked best for me, while being very competitive in terms of rates and fees. I like the ethos behind Nationwide which is effectively owned by it's members with it being a building society, allowing members to have a say in the governance process. Nationwide customer service is first rate as well and with the company keeping in person branches open they really do demonstrate they value customers. Reviewed on: 18th March 2024
