Hanley staff were always pleasant and welcoming and answered telephone calls and emails promptly. They treated me with respect in spite of my age (85). They understood my requirements and found a mortgage that met my specific needs and was affordable with my pension income. They encouraged my solicitor to get the remortgage done in a timely manner. New products but only for new customers

I have a RIO mortgage with the Hanley taken out nearly 5 years ago. I have 2 issues:-1) recently they introduced a new RIO deal... I have a RIO mortgage with the Hanley taken out nearly 5 years ago. I have 2 issues:-1) recently they introduced a new RIO deal with a lower interest rate but specifically prevented me from moving to it --- just for new customers only. I thought this practice was frowned on these days 2) there have been 3 BOE rate reductions recently but the Hanley has not yet reduced its SVR Read more Read less

    Not Economic with service

    I've had accounts with Hanley Economic since the 80's, when it used to be hand written pass books. Always had good experiences with the staff.... Always done their best for me, including turning up without an appointment last year, (which I should have done) to open a fixed rate account, but they sorted and fitted me in anyway.
