BEWARE you will be charged to access your own money!

I wanted to close my account because I needed the money. I was told there would be a charge to transfer my money by bank... I wanted to close my account because I needed the money. I was told there would be a charge to transfer my money by bank transfer or no charge if I received a check (Smart money not so smart as it won't accept U.K. spelling!!.). They only send checks second class post which means it took 10 days from the date the check was issued until it cleared into my bank account. That's £53 in lost interest on my money .... a nice little earner for the Hanley! Read more Read less

    Provides a face to face service given by very helpful friendly staff. As my account is one that is very very slow to react to... As my account is one that is very very slow to react to the transactions usually taking 45 minutes they are fully aware that for me to stand that length of time is very trying so they ensure I have a seat.
