The staff are always very polite and helpful. The opening hours are great and everything suits all our needs.

I was able to close my accounts, and the staff member was lovely. What I don’t like : I wasn’t given an option to have... I was able to close my accounts, and the staff member was lovely. What I don’t like : I wasn’t given an option to have the funds transferred electronically (so I had to visit the bank I wanted the money to go in); I have to wait for a couple of weeks to have an appointment to open a new account with a better rate of interest; AND I saw a friend in there, who had lost her husband and ONLY a because of the Hanley Economic, she has to pay someone to apply for probate as this building society has a very small threshold for allowing bereaved people to access money without going through probate.
