New products but only for new customers

I have a RIO mortgage with the Hanley taken out nearly 5 years ago. I have 2 issues:-1) recently they introduced a new RIO deal... I have a RIO mortgage with the Hanley taken out nearly 5 years ago. I have 2 issues:-1) recently they introduced a new RIO deal with a lower interest rate but specifically prevented me from moving to it --- just for new customers only. I thought this practice was frowned on these days 2) there have been 3 BOE rate reductions recently but the Hanley has not yet reduced its SVR Read more Read less

    Smooth and quick process

    Hanley were the best option on the cost comparison websites. Called them up and got a mortgage appointment very quickly over the phone. Got asked... Hanley were the best option on the cost comparison websites. Called them up and got a mortgage appointment very quickly over the phone. Got asked to send in evidence, sent in the evidence and got a mortgage offer in about a weeks time. Which is a very quick turnaround which is what I desperately needed as left my mortgage bit too late. Also released the money to my solicitors very quickly on completion date. Service has also been very great, Jane Longmore was my mortgage advisor/case worker at Hanley. Explained everything to me very clearly and was very helpful and kind throughout the process.     Transaction took too long

    Last time I was using my local branch, the computers had been down for two days and then it was a limited service. My transaction took too long to complete.

    Hanley staff were always pleasant and welcoming and answered telephone calls and emails promptly. They treated me with respect in spite of my age (85).... Hanley staff were always pleasant and welcoming and answered telephone calls and emails promptly. They treated me with respect in spite of my age (85). They understood my requirements and found a mortgage that met my specific needs and was affordable with my pension income. They encouraged my solicitor to get the remortgage done in a timely manner.
