Service from NatWest

I always managed family finances but was near death in hospital for three weeks and my husband accrued an overdraft equal to three months mortgage. My rare illness hit the headlines for three consecutive weeks and when I visited NatWest I was told not to worry about the overdraft, I would be charged no interest because they knew I’d clear it in time now I was back in charge! I've been with Natwest for many years, never had a problem until this year with transactions being with held by their fraud department and now I receive an email limiting movement between natwest accoubts and withdrawals. I think natwest have forgotten the main principle...this is my money, not theirs. Am considering moving banks to the one thats not closing any branches and offer a great customer service. Been with NatWest ever since they took over from National Provincial where I had my first account at the age of 16. Now 76 I have never had any cause to complain or any thought of changing Banks. Totally satisfied customer. The fact that they are shutting down branches is not to my liking, but all banks are doing the same. Reviewed on: 27th September 2023
