I can't complain about this banking branch, after being with them for over 5 years I have never had a issue with the company, very nice and friendly people and always willing to help with anything you need help with, the staff are friendly and helpful and always happy to help, I reccomend this branch to many people who are looking to change or swap to a different account. Never any problems branch service is excellent every time in our small high street location

My wife and I are both pensioners and are not fully comfortable with today's speedy way of paying bills on line or by direct debit, We can and do use the internet banking facility but for paying bills prefer a "proper" receipt which we get when visiting the bank to pay utility or credit card bills. The staff sometimes suggest other ways of paying but do not labour the point and instead also engage with a smile and a comment on the weather etc and provide us with a date and time stamped receipt., it's a pleasure to go in there and a couple of times a month be treated as worthwhile people, if ever we are unsure about a procedure a simplified explanation is offered without aggravation and they ensure we are happy in our understanding Reviewed on: 27th April 2015

Still waiting....

Six years ago I was planning to propose to my then-girlfriend (now my wife). I visited my Natwest branch to ask for an overdraft to temporarily cover the cost until my next payday, however, due to an administrative error, my account was still down as a child's account, even though I was 20. They promised to get it changed and to give me a call once it was done so they could arrange the overdraft. Many prompts and over a month later, I realised that they weren't going to keep their word and still hadn't updated the account, so I left them. Very disappointed in them. Lack of communication, could be a great account if they tried

For a bank account its not bad, however there could be improvements. They charge £6 a month plus interest to go into an agreed overdraft. Barclays do not charge up to the first £200. I have been with the company over 10 years. I was never informed that they would start charging me £6 a month, and when i emailed to complain i was just refunded the charges without a reply. Thank you for the refund, but a reply would have be appreciated to. Reviewed on: 21st April 2015

Typical legal swindlers

I'll never forgive them for charging me £55 for going overdrawn. Whether it's in the smallprint or not, most of their charges are aimed at people in financial difficulty. Over 30 years they've managed to erode any sense of loyalty I might have once had. Competent and reliable but would sell you down the river for a fast buck. Their ads showing how caring and helpful they supposedly are leave a particularly sour taste in the mouth. Reviewed on: 9th April 2015

Change of address is far too challenging

Natwest have continued to breach data protection by not changing my address details, and sending multiple mailings to my old address. This is despite numerous calls, visits to branch and emails. They have apologised with a payment of £180 (thank you very much!!!) but still haven't actually fixed the issue. Reviewed on: 8th April 2015

Need to work on knowledge skills and customer service over phone, and improve Internet banking errors

2
The bank has some good aspects like the convenience of the card reader, however I found every time I have had a problem there customer services and knowledge has been poor. Also the online banking is always having problems. If the Internet banking is not working or has a error you have to fax to make international payments, which I use as I am currently travelling Australia. I was told because of a error with their online banking which stopped me from making a international payment I had made before, I would have to Send a fax. I expalined I was travelling and was unable to do so. They showed no empathy and had no knowledge why the Internet wasn't working! Leaving me without access to my money. If you are going to bank with them have a back up account, because while travelling I have been unable to access my account online and had to ring many times for enquires costing me a lot of money on phone calls!
